Oops, James Garner. Thanks for the recommendation. I'm not sure if I've seen Support Your Local Gunfighter or not. There are many old films I've seen on MGM and TCM that I love but can't remember the names or many details of.

It's time for some cheesy fun...

Though to be fair the only real good one is the first one....

Still, even the first sequel has its moments. Haven't got around to number 3 yet, but from what I've heard, I won't like the results....

I like the first and even like the second but the third... I've given two showings and I didn't like it either time; too goofey for my likeing.

I loved the 1st one, felt sort of like an Indiana Jones film. I didn't really enjoy the 2nd much. And the only thing I liked about the 3rd one was the fact that Jet Li was in it.

I loved the Mummy 1, Mummy 2 was good... but Mummy 3 is very bad.

Watched the 3rd one the other night...terrible. Makes the first two look like Lawrence of Arabia.

And I genuinely believe the first Mummy is a good film. It's epic nonsense, sure, but still great fun. Mummy Returns has its moments and is given great strength by Alan Silvestri's phenomenal score, but not as good as the first. Tomb of the Dragon Emperor...as I mentioned...was a disgrace. The funny thing is that they didn't have to make a great film, just a serviceable one (like Mummy Returns), but they managed to screw everything up!

The Rock. They had the SE dvd cheap somewhere, and I couldn´t resist. While watching, I thought what a nice pace that film has. The next day however it felt too much like cotton candy.

Oh wait, that wasn´t the last one. I bought the Tintin dvd. While already thinking in the cinema that I´d much prefer real people in CG backgrounds, I couldn´t finish watching the dvd, because it just didn´t pull me in. Sometimes I even wished for a fixed camera during action sequences, which surprised me, because I thought I like fooling around with the camera, especially in a Spielberg film. Hm, I´ll give the camera-tomfoolery another chance when the Hugo dvd comes out ;-) .

Yep. I'm very glad those channels exist.

    In a mood for Gina:

Also has Curt "Stromberg" Jurgens in the cast.

The Inbetweeners movie is really funny, but I think the TV series was funnier.

A movie called LTK, since my UE-disc started lagging. I bought the SE-version instead.
This has happened to DN, OHMSS, TLD, LTK and DAD.
Except for DAD, these are movies I rarely watch, so I am surprised.

Oddly enough, it was Quantum of Solace. I bought the box set with all the films from Dr. No to Casino Royale but when I bought it, it didn't come with QoS (does it even now?). I'd seen it in theaters and rented it on DVD once or twice in addition to watching it a few times here and there on TV but I just recently bought it. I showed Casino Royale to my girlfriend a few weeks ago and she really enjoyed it. So, I wanted to show her QoS to finish the story. We'll be watching it this weekend. It's not my favorite, but hey, it's Bond.

The last new film I bought was also QOS. I bought the UE-case and CR at the same time in 2007, and bought QOS in 2010. I had it downloaded before that, but I want it in great quality. Plus I wanna own all the Bond films for real.

    GAMER

I'm probably the only fan of Neveldine / Taylor. And this, ladies and gentlemen, is my new favourite guilty pleasure film. ;-)

^I love the action breakdown when the car is flying through the air, and this soft piano music is playing.

    That movie is SO good.

Leon is hands down one of the best films of the 90s. Portman is cute, Reno is fabulous, Oldman is wonderful. The score is superb (and could it be that this is the score which inspired the Bond folks to hire Serra?) and Besson is clearly on fire.

Oh, yes! Crank is amazing. Statham is ******* his girlfriend in public while talking on the phone.
    =))

Between Leon, the Transporter films, and Taken, Luc is always impressing me. Quite an underrated dark horse in the directing game.

The last one I picked up was the American version of 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.' Probably one of my favorite movies, and heavily worth the blu-ray purchase. Looks amazing.

As did I, @DaltonCraig007! I'm just now reading the book, and I'm about halfway through and loving it. My only worry now is that they won't be able to begin the next two books with Fincher, Craig, and Mara. The last I heard, Craig and Mara were bound to return, a script was already written for the second, and work was being done on the third, with a possibility that it would shoot back to back. Time will tell!

I want to see it so badly. I read the first book recently and adored it. You really get sucked into it and you never want to let go of it. Such a thrilling and twisty read. All I want to do now is dig into 2 and 3 when time permits me once my other reading is done.

Ah, thanks for reminding me! This is another film that I must buy on DVD. I've had it on VHS for years.

Bond vets John Rhys-Davies(TLD's Pushkin) and Vernon Dobtcheff(TSWLM's Max Kalba) are both in it.

Just thought I'd add to my Gina collection.
