Curious to see who will fix us some great main titles. No MK12 pu-leaze!

Oh, I forgot about the main title designer! Now I added it to the category "unknown". It would be great if Daniel Kleinman returned!

Certainly would be great. They let this man go for QoS. Why? I mean, he's one of the very few to bring genuine quality to the Bonds, which he aptly demonstrated with two of the greatest main titles in the history of Bond: GE and CR.

Marc Forster wanted to use the CG & titles company he had worked with before on previous movies.

Dennis Gassner is back? Great news, he did a good job with Quantum Of Solace in my opinion so I can't wait to see what other 'Adam vibes' he can bring to Bond 23.

And yes, I thought it was known Forstor wanted certain people with him, MK12 being one of them. This meant no Kleinman, I'm sure he'll be back mind, there's no one else they could get that's as good as him. His Casino Royale work was fantastic.

Quick question, McWilliams has worked on Bond since GoldenEye, correct?

Dennis Gassner's involvement is not yet confirmed, it's just a rumor as of now. As for Debbie McWilliams, she was the casting director on every Bond movie since FYEO! (Except maybe LTK: IMDB does not list any casting director on that movie.)

I'd like to think he'll be back, mind. With Lamont having retired as far as I'm aware, Gassner seems like the obvious choice to take over, especially after his good work on his first Bond film.

Oh wow, even better. Thanks for answering @PanchitoPistoles. It's good to see even now we still have many long term players with us.

Dennis Gassner wil return. He working with Marc Forster and Sam Mendes and Eon knows this already whyle making QOS. I always thaught the QOS cinematopher wil make the change to return also, but i heard there is not much difrent with Roger Deakins. Roger Deakins is in my opnion the Michael Apted of directer of photography, atleast that's the idea what i get from a documentry on one of the 14 movies of The Coenbrothers i own.

Last week i whas bissy with making a new post and discover some intresting video's after somebody ask me what i found beautiful production designs. I never at it, but i don't whant keep you from some parts of it and those intresting Ken Adam video's with simalar there be with QOS.

The cinematopgraphy and production design from QOS is the best i have seen in years. It not only be the production design/cinematography who have made a hugh update, i also like Fields a lot. Very creative with yuse of locotions who not easy to film.

Other movies set the trend i think. Where for example The Spy Who Loved & LTK set it for QOS, i hope Yolt/TMWTGG doing this for Bond 23, LAD/DAF for Bond 24 and OHMSS/TLD for Bond 25.

Ken Adam - Cold War Modern
Ken Adam - Ken Adam Designs the Movies: James Bond and Beyond interview from 2008. Production Design general Dr no Dr Strangelove in specialy in the last part it going about hidden things in the production design and tells something how he get the idea of creating...

I think it is possible Stuard Baid return as editor. He already doing Casino Royale editing, but it be the writer John Logon why i think Baid returns mabey. Baid be the Directer of a SF action movie who is written by John Logan.

Chris Corbould wil return special effect supervisor. He working vert long on Bond. Intresting be that he also working at Dark Knight Rises, DKR and Mi4 is filming at a location rumored for James Bond. If not the real location, possible Bond also going to yuse Iceland both Batman Begins and DKR yuse to dubbing a country close to India. I also keep in mind what i heard in CR or what i saw in QOS

Part of DKR is also shoot at pinewood like Bond and Potter. Because DKR, Mission Impossible 4, Potter, Bourne 4 and sometimes also Bond shares same people. Bourne 4, QOS and Mi4 share Dan Bradley for example and also Bourne 4/Mi4 yuse the previous TMND editor Robert Elswit. Mi4 filming at Prague, Czech Republic like CR and Triple X.

Yes, Dennis Gassner was not only the production designer of QOS, he also has a working relationship with Mendes (they worked together on Road to Perdition and Jarhead), so it won't be a huge surprise if he returns.

M_Balje, are you serious about Deakins? He is the Michael Apted of directer of photography? Deakins is one of the 3 best cinematographers working today for Christ's sake! Apted on the other hand is an average director at best.

I hope they won't hire Stuart Baird again. Not after Green Lantern! As I wrote earlier, I think Tariq Anwar would be great as editor.

If it's true, does that mean M's QOS office will be back too? That's the only set I don't really like in QOS. Too futuristic for Bond I think. I really hope the Vauxhall Cross HQ will return, it's too soon to say goodbye.

Couldn't agree more--the Barbican just looks so dreary and rundown in comparison.

Hopefully not. Even if it does, having a proper scene in some kind of office may help the set to be liked a bit more!

I would love to see Vauxhall cross back too. It would probably make me feel all warm and fuzzy; feeling that something is familiar. Plus, I hate the QOS office!

Well, given what we ended up with in LTK, maybe that shouldn't be a surprise... ;)

I did a quick google search on "Tariq Anwar James Bond" because I suspected there is a chance he'll edit Bond 23, since he is the only editor Mendes worked with more than once. I thought maybe I will find an older article or some information nobody noticed. And I did! It's an older article from the website of the Indian "The Telegraph" which is not a tabloid newspaper.

“Sam Mendes asked me if I would be interested in doing Bond,” Tariq remarks casually. “That would be something different.” Is this something he might be doing or will he definitely be cutting the next James Bond movie, the 23rd, which will be released worldwide on November 9, 2012? “No,” he replies, dispelling any doubt. “I will do Bond.”

This article is more than 4 months old, it's unbelievable nobody noticed it! Since it uses quotations I think it's safe to say that it's true, Anwar will edit the next Bond film!

The editing of QOS was not the best, it's great that Bond 23 is in safe hands. Anwar is a two-time Academy Award nominated editor (for American Beauty and The King's Speech) and this will be the third time he works together with Mendes.

That's great new indeed! Nice find @PanchitoPistoles! I sure hope it's true, because his name is not listed anywhere else in regards to B23--not on any other news source or imdb. But that sounds pretty certain. He's also done Revolutionary Road (with Mendes)--so he seems to be one of Mendes' go to guys.

Good editor for this film, could we get here, the closest to Hunt's standards since he left the series? Though you could still doubt the director, EON seem to be making some great choices elsewhere.

And indeed, that's from the 11th of February, shame on us for missing it. @PanchitoPistoles thanks for searching for the information. Is there anything else worth looking into that make be known but not to us?

I'm nervous about the choice of second unit director, it needs to be someone up to the level of the players we have so far and that is able to handle action, as Mendes is perhaps a little inexperienced in that area.

Does Mendes have a reguar that could be brought on board and is he/she any good?

Jeff Habberstad worked with Mendes in Jarhead. He also was the stunt coordinator for the recent X-Men First Class, The Last Airbender, There Will Be Blood, Live Free or Die Hard, and Spiderman: could be promising...

That's a pretty good résumé, Habberstad is not only good but would be a fine addition to the seemingly already excellent crew.

What are everybody else's opinions of the crew as a whole so far?

PanchitoPistoles by prefer i also don't whant Stuard Baid, but i also it have something to do with chooses Eon make with the set up of CR with David Arnold, Alexander Witt and the soundmixer. I doubt or i whant Anwar for editing Bond 23. For the same reasenor i liked or dislike the idea Peter Morgan made a change to work on Bond 23.

    P. Scott Sakamoto be the camera operator of 2 of Mendes his movies (Jarhead, Road to Perdition ) who stil doing this work and also from The Italian Job 2003, a movie who is uncredit written by P&W. F. Gary Gray the directer of The Italian Job is the directer of Law Abiding Citizen who is edit by Anwar. Con: Be the camera operator of Mulholland Falls directed by Lee Tamahori.

Another one who make a chance is Martin Kenzie who work for the same job at Tomorrow Never Dies and Seven Years In Tibet, second united cinematopgraphy of Johnny English Reborn (P&W), Storm Breaker and additional photographer of The World Is Not Enough, assistant camera for FYEO.

There already have a stunt coordinator and Habberstad also working as second united directer on Jarhead (Shooter, Spider-Man). Because of ''Shooter'' people mabey don't accepted him because Shooter is the R rated Bourne.

On the old forums i sugest in 2007 or 2008 Noëlle Boisson (Enemy at the Gates, Seven Years in Tibet.) as future editor. Con: He last project whas in 2007, the year he turn 63.

I think it's great that the crew is filled with previous collaborators of Mendes. He already worked twice with Roger Deakins, twice with Dennis Gassner and twice with Tariq Anwar. Will Mednes be able to get Thomas Newman on board? (Does he want him to work on Bond 23 as composer anyway?)

  • Personally, I'm really excited for this, I've been reading articles and John Logan is appearently changing up the format, and with such a great film maker as Sam Mendes helming this, theres no way this will fail. Plus Roger Deakins is the cinematographer so no matter what its going to look great.

Don't forget our editor and costume designer who may really bring something to Bond due to their past experience. I wouldn't say "theres no way this will fail" just yet but I'm liking what I see so far - a lot.

True, but I think it's very reliable when it comes to minor crew members such as "art department assistant" or "design researcher". I mean why would anyone update the Bond 23 page whith these crew members if they weren't really joining the crew?
