Although given the choice with a gun to my head I'd rather have her doing a shitty 2 minute Madonna style cameo than butcher the title song.
DC hardly going up in my estimation if that's true.

I remember with Madonna MGW saying 'we thought it would be a bit of fun and we were really happy when she was able to do it'. Does he mean EON or the royal we of the studio as well?
I always got the impression with the 11th hour drafting in of Sheryl Crow that this was something foisted on EON by the studio. If not why did they waste time and money getting KD Lang to record Surrender in the first place?
Does anyone know if EON have the power of veto to say no if some cretin at the studio decides One Direction should sing the title song or are they ultimately helpless to block it?
Of course not - it's clearly the usual bollocks we get every time. I imagine EON can largely choose who they want to cast I'm just interested in who has the final say on the singer which is more of a commercial decision to attract a certain demographic.
The Bond films (and especially the Craig era), do not need another Madonna 2.0.
And don't dare let her go anywhere near the theme song!!
"Pro-per-ty of ma' lady...lady...lady...eh...eh...eh..."
I think the Alessandra Ambrosio cameo in Casino Royale should be the model for any future celebrity cameos in the Bond films. No real attention is called to it and the film doesn't stop for a minute or so for the celebrity to have some awkwardly written and delivered banter with Bond.
100 % agree @dalton any cameo (and I'm not a fan at all) in a Bond film must be brief and if possible, without dialogue. I always feel cameos break the fourth wall almost.
This rumour regarding Rhianna I'm hoping is only that. Early news stories for the Bond films often include who is going to sing the title song. Or feature as a Bond girl. Around the time of TWINE and DAD I recall hearing Kylie would be singing the theme and acting in the latest Bond film. Kind of reminds me of this...
Early speculation at this stage I hope.
First: Never Let them see you bleed..
Second: Always have escape plan... :bz
Just for my own curiosity here, but are you talking a strongly worded letter to the Times or self immolation outside EON's offices?
I'm happy to register my disgust at Rhianna by signing any petition you might draw up but if you're talking some sort of Buddhist monk kind of stuff, whilst I admire your dedication, you're on your own.
Just waiting for Gustav to do his thesis on Rihanna's credentials as a potential brand ambassador and 'Oscar' worthy blah blah...
And yes, I know he doesn't like the idea.
Well I thought you were the one who said you didn't want to be constrained by boring confirmed facts and wanted to discuss these rumours and imagine the possibilities....
So how does a world where Rhianna does the title song and appears as a Bond girl grab you?
Personally I'm with Draggers all the way.
My thoughts exactly - but let us enjoy the chance of denouncing her from the moral high ground first! ;)
No matter as it was very funny! She deserves it for making 2007 one of the wettest years on record with her "Umbrella". :))
I am sure, you can do it.
In before the lock? ;)
