If only the Bond 25 critics on that thread here would start reading Dynamite Comic's run, there won't be as much trouble on this site.
I tried getting them into it, Max. Tried a lot of times, but it seems other than looking at moving pictures, they're not interested in anything else.

It's sad but thank you. People want quality James Bond, Dynamite's really doing well.

Don't expect LALD anytime soon, sadly Calero hasn't even started yet.

It's been a week and Van Jensen hasn't responded. That's not good news. Maybe he's planning his run on James Bond Origins first.

I love it! The art looks fantastic.
  • I've got a really good feeling about Oddjob! Great to see Dynamite get back on track

    Another Oddjob story we missed.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/eyeonbond.com/2018/09/07/james-bond-villain-oddjob-to-appearin-comic-books/amp/

We may get a whole year of Oddjob! Other possible classic characters appearing, perhaps?

Over on the John Logan rejected Spectre scripts, it said that he wanted to make Blofeld a African Warlord. Obviously, that never happened. He wouldn't be a secret head of an organization especially if he was an African Warlord. Somebody did mention to save it for Buonapart Ignace Gallia, aka Mr. Big. If the LALD graphic novel adaption is canceled, (which I think it is), I would like to see this happen to Mr. Big, in a modern setting.

The latest episode of James Bond Radio features an interview with Dennis Calero talking about the recent Casino Royale graphic novel.

I heard it. Doesn't mention anything about LALD however. We know that Van Jensen has a script, that's all.

Loved it. Definitely a better entry than the first one, which isn't to say the first one wasn't great.

    It's basically Bond doing Kingsman.

Considering how much Dynamite Comics has posted on my Facebook news, I wouldn't be surprised if they announced a Bond update soon.

Thanks to Diamond Comics, here are the covers and synopsis for James Bond # 3 and Origin # 5, scheduled for january :

    James Bond # 3 :
ODD JOB continues, by superstars GREG PAK (Planet Hulk, Mech Cadet Yu) and MARC LAMING (Star Wars, Wonder Woman)!
Northern Australia: Agent 007 infiltrates an illegal outpost, to prevent a uranium dealer's negotiations with terrorists. Or, that WOULD be his mission, if not for the interference of a (seemingly ever-present) Korean secret agent. Will James Bond stay on target, or will his fury towards John Lee overtake his priorities?

    James Bond : Origin # 5 :

"Rocket Sea" continues, by JEFF PARKER (Suicide Squad, Fantastic Four) and BOB Q (The Lone Ranger). Bond and his squad commander a German bomber plane, to sink a Nazi cruiser. And aside from not knowing how to fly the bomber, or how to drop bombs from it, all should go as planned...

I've said it all before, I'll say it again: Dynamite Comics understands James Bond more than EON now. P.S. In Oddjob, I can't help but think we're going to see Goldfinger or Pussy Galore.

Great interview with Greg Pak, I can't wait! Newsarama always seems to get James Bond interviews and make them exciting.

Sounds like this will be a revision of the movie Oddjob rather than Fleming's--which might be for the best, given Fleming's attitudes toward the character and Koreans. One can't blame Pak (whose father is Korean American) for wanting to create something more appealing than the cleft-palated cat-eating thug from the novel.
  • One of the things I appreciate the most about Dynamite is that they are taking Bond to different locations that we haven't seen in the films, such as Dubai and Berlin. So excited they are taking Bond to Australia, and being able to see Bond in a different corner of the world.
