Sorry... I wrote the name of the month wrongfully. It's supposed to be March, not February. My apologies.

Apparently, it's been rescheduled to March 16 on ComiXology.

Dynamite should really update their sites more often. The dates are misleading.

No problem. I'm just grateful you posted.
    You're welcome, my good man.

I just have paid the Dynamite website a visit, again. It appears May 2016 solicitations don't have a James Bond title in the works. Perhaps we might not get another title until VARGR is released in its full form under the title James Bond Vol. 1: VARGR on 21st of June later this year.

I was thinking that myself. Disappointed but not surprised. Ellis had mentioned ideas such as featuring Leiter in the next adventure but beyond that nothing.

I hope the series has generated enough attention. I really enjoy Bond in this medium.

It already has captured enough attention outside. I think they will continue publishing comic books based on the James Bond franchise for a few more years to come.

Ellis will do a second arc, and I believe if he mentioned it, then something is already out there in the open. Remember, though, we'll be getting a Casino Royale, soon, too.

It was supposed to be coming out next week but apparently the fifth installment is out in the stores. I don't know if it's rather good or bad, I've yet to purchase it, but here's the link to the news:
    http://www.thebookbond.com/2016/03/james-bond-vargr-5-released.html

UPDATE: The link, above, I gather is misleading. The author must've been misled himself. Issue #5 won't be coming out until next week. 16th of March 2016 is still the intact date.

In addition, here are a few artworks by Jason Masters delivering Bond as he viewed it. On his twitter account, he admitted to have inserted a bit of Timothy Dalton in his interpretation of the James Bond image.

Oh yes. Remember at the end of the first issue, Bryan Masters was given Bond's file who was photographed with his Bentley? I suppose that's from Issue #5, when he actually does get to drive the car.

Curious about the helicopter as well. Hoping not too close to SP pts... not a knock against Ellis if similar.. just a coincidence.

I don't think the helicopter artwork is related to VARGR. Just out of Jason Masters' imagination. He's a Bond enthusiast from what I gathered by looking at his Twitter posts. I think that artwork was his "audition" for the job.

I have just read the fifth issue (Finally!) and I have to say, it's spectacular. Just saddened to see it was so short when things were just getting interesting. I wish they wouldn't delay the last issue from its original April 6 release.

Exciting :) ...I haven't purchased my copy yet. One more day.

    The #6 is delayed?

    You'll definitely enjoy it! :D

I think the release date is the same as previously given: April 6, 2016. Now, unless they delay it, we'll have the sixth issue in the matter of exactly three weeks. However, something tells me they'll delay that by a week, at least. I hope I'm wrong.

Announcement to hit this week. Presumably, the next Bond comic book soon to be revealed, according to Dynamite's twitter account.

    James Bond Will Return in

    EIDOLON

The story that follows the events of VARGR takes us to explore an old enemy new enemy, a blast from the past that sees army intelligence groups created ghost cells after World War II called "stay-behinds" across Europe in the event of a Warsaw Pact surge. It tells the story of the SPECTRE loyalists acting as sleepers until the time is right for the reformation and resurgence of the terrorist organization. The time is now.

Sounds awesome. And it looks like this might be a big continuous story that might go on for years. Like Craigs movies

The new synopsis for the upcoming series sounds extremely interesting. I like that they're grounding everything in WWII history.

Oh my friend I finally read #5. My excitement level for part #6 is off the Bond meter.

I know some have complained that it doesn't feel like Bond. Maybe so but #5 did for me. That conference room with the map just screamed 60's Bond to me.
Bond is hell on cars. He should've taken the Fiat.
