Oddjob #2 was great. It was a really enjoyable read. Got a TMWTGG vibe from the final few pages of it.

As I said before, these people get who James Bond is. Both in character, and action. I really hope that they can extend their contracts beyond their 10 year mark.

I was also sure about that until they gave us The Body, so I wouldn't blindly trust them.

Don't want to be a negative nancy but i have to agree. The Body is in my opinion one of the worst works in the history of the franchise. It's not just boring but downright offensive.

Other than that, Dynamite have a near flawless track record.

I'll find out on The Body this weekend! They can also announce LALD any day now!

"Boring" doesn't worry me. Not in the slightest. In fact, none of the Dynamite entries are boring (but there are "average" and "very good" among the ranks) apart from the aforementioned abomination. It's only The Body itself that's not only it's offensive, but it also is degrading towards the character, written by an overgrown teenager with deliriously delusional opinions about social mannerisms, going as far to bastardize the Bond character and spread his pathetic SJW viewpoint via the Bond filter.

Then again, the real problem lies in with Dynamite who greenlit that crap. That's why I won't blindly trust them.

Holy smokes, i stumbled onto Dan Panosian's Twitter page by accident (he did a couple of covers for VARGR, nothing more.) and found some drawings from another series he is currently doing.

Am I the only one who thinks this guy would be AMAZING as lead artist for Bond?! Let me know if i should start a change.org campaign :D

    And he's also a fan:

Well i hope! So far I could only find out that he did covers for VARGR.

OH and he did one of the covers for Origin! Bond, all in Black, with the gun in hand.

Damn i hope his tweet means he will take over at some point.
Mooney also started with doing covers only.

I'm nervous as the only hardcover Dynamite comic collection is James Bond Origins for May. I don't think we'll get another, sadly. Please give us LALD and Oddjob at least soon please Dynamite!

Oddjob started two months after Origins, so that’s likely a July release. A LALD adaptation however is not in the cards just yet. Otherwise, we would’ve been told by now.

Dennis Carleo said that another team is working on it. They have to have something soon! Plus, all other comic companies are setting up their July dates for graphic novels. Also, I thought Oddjob was a yearlong story. I think Dynamite is scared of announcing LALD for two reasons: first it's racist overtones. Second, they don't want to keep delaying it like CR. I still trust them, from a creative standpoint.

That was an absolute mess, not sure what happened there. I never want them to play with my feelings like that again. I can wait, just don't BS me.

As for Artists that i would like to draw LALD:
Dan Panosian is just freaking Aah-mazing. I want him to draw every Bond story from now on :D

The only question that remains is when.
I could see a summer release. July-September maybe.

Maybe we'll get Moonraker in time for Bond 25. In true James Bond tradition, LALD can end with "THE END OF LIVE AND LET DIE, JAMES BOND WILL RETURN IN MOONRAKER."

I leafed through a new graphic novel while doing my groceries at the local mall today :

    Enigma.jpg

Telling of Spirou's recurring supporting character Pacôme de Champignac's adventures during WW II, this album sees the young scientist involved in secret shenanigans involving the Enigma machine, during which he meets a young naval officer who at the end thinks that all thse adventures has given him an idea for spy fictions, with a hero called Bond. No need to guess who he might be.

Not the biggest fan of this weeks issue of Origins. Looking forward to discussing further once everyone has a chance to catch up with it.

Has anyone else read it? I'm curious as I don't read comics until the graphic novels come out.

First tease of Stephen Mooney's Bond, who's taking over the Oddjob series next month.

Looks pretty good actually. I am relieved.
