    Me too, loved it.

I've been in Dubai this week, and on Wednesday i looked for the most luxurious Restaurant i could find just to sit there after Lunch with my Smartphone in Hand and read the newest Bond Comic :D
I feel like thats the only appropriate way lol...

Oh and I was at the walk-through Aquarium from Hammerhead, which was cool...

Does anyone else here do any special stuff when reading new Bond comics?

First sneak-peak of Casino Royale here : https://www.bleedingcool.com/2017/07/06/van-jensen-on-adapting-casino-royale-easiest-yes-ive-ever-said/ in a interview of Van Jensen.

The art on the whole looks pretty great, and Jensen knows his Bond so we're squared that way. I am a little concerned about the cutting they've done, however, of so called inflammatory things. The only elements I could imagine being viewed as such are Bond's comments about women in his workplace and calling Vesper a bitch for screwing with him, both things that don't shake the pages. I hope they don't change who Bond is in the books, because if you neuter any part of him you're not doing your job well as someone taking Fleming's work to a new medium.

Yep, but and I think for the first time, M and Moneypenny will be white again.

It's the literary Bond, so those characters naturally would be. It's funny that the most faithful adaptation of Fleming's work is coming in comic world. Kind of crazy to imagine that.

Looks like Bond can easily shake off the chain and free himself in time to save England.

Can't say I'm a fan of how Bond is drawn there; just doesn't have the look I expect. Maybe my feelings will change when we see actual color on the panels.

It looks like they were going for a mix between Humphrey Bogart and Hoagy Carmichael, which would make sense for that time. Still a suprising choice since we are used to something completely different. But it's too early to judge

I thought the Bond likeness in CR is an amalgam of Kevin Spacey and Michael Fassbender here. :D

I don't see any of that, but maybe the look will grow on me. There's just things that feel strange to me, and I don't like how Bond's famous comma of hair has been replaced by what looks like an emasculating baby curl.

I always picture Fleming's Bond as a rough, cruel Richard Burton type, with hair he doesn't know what to do with and lets it hang:

I don't see that in the art and that's a shame.

It's cool to see this Bond finally wear a brown suit, not far removed from Bond's look in GF for the post-golf game and Swiss sequences.

Kill Chain. I like what we are getting into. I've noticed some of the visuals bearing resemblance to Spectre, namely the lake house and Bond cruising in his aston martin.

@ClarkDevlin do you know if Dynamite is at SDCC, and if they might reveal anything regarding Bond? would be a good opportunity to reveal the Origin writers/artists...
does anyone else know or follow SDCC?

@00Agent, since Origins is set to arrive this fall, I am sure in a month or two, the title will be announced.
  • Dynamite is certainly at SDCC. But I am not -- haven't been for about 5 years now -- so I won't be the one to report on any revelations. Follow your favorite internet comics news source...

@Torgeirtrap, they haven't. Great find, my man. I like how the chapter titles really rule the pages when they come.

I'm eager to see the comic in full color, as a full impression can't be made yet.

Agreed! Fleming's chapter titles is one of the little things that I really like about the books. Great to have them included in the adaptation as well!

Nope, but when I see this, I have the (agreable) impression of Casino Royale 1954 in there !

Especially the litter of French titles Fleming added to give the book a sense of place.
