It's going to be Jamie Bell, Babs has already cast him as an action hero in '6 days'.

The rumored report is that EoN met with Bell. That's it.

Hiddleston may just have the charm of Moore combined with the harder edge of Craig?

Although I personally prefer Fassbender and Dan Stevens, Hiddleston is one fine, fine candidate. I watched High-Rise the other night, maybe even a better Bond showcase then The Night Manager.

Speaking about High-Rise, it will be interesting to see if Sienna Miler fu*ked another one into the role :)

She seems to know how to pick 'em, and hasn't aged a bit. I enjoyed the film, but it was a bit strange.

IMO, I prefer younger actors who look older, than older actors that look younger. Just my 00.2 p.

This is roughly what people said about Brosnan, isn't it?

I don't think so. Craig wasn't on the scene when Brosnan was cast.

No but with Brosnan people said he had the charm of Moore combined with the hrser egde of Sean Connery.

Yes, they did say that. He had the potential to be the best Bond, because he had the looks and a combination of Moore/Connery. GE was a cautious & unsure, but promising start.

Sadly, it all didn't come together like some (especially myself) hoped, and by the end of it all I welcomed the reboot with open arms.

I hope Hiddle can live up to my expectations, if he is cast. I hope he will will make the role his own, like Craig has done, rather than trying to imitate his forebearers, like Brosnan did.

If it's Turner, I'll be ok with it too. Fassbender would be great. Craig again would be great too, if only a placeholder for one film. Bell is a no no.

A little back peddle from, as my daughter calls him, Hiddles.

"I am not playing Moneypenny." - Naomie Harris

"Ben Whishaw isn't playing Q. Agents are liars."
    - Daniel Craig, Barbara Broccoli

"I am definitely not playing Blofeld, my character is Franz Oberhauser." - Christoph Waltz

"I’m sorry to disappoint you, everybody. I don’t think that announcement is coming. But I’m very gratified to hear the enthusiasm. There’s not much that I can say that I haven’t already said, but I know… Your guess is as good as mine to be honest." - Tom Hiddleston

    Anyway, you get the point.

Has he been asked direct if he had that reported meeting with Broccoli/Mendes? His response could be telling.

I can't really put any stock in their reactions to question, to be honest. Clive Owen gave some very cryptic answers that made a lot of people think that he had either met with EON or been offered the role back in 2005, but obviously nothing came of that either.

It's all just a media game at this point.

@Dalton, true. as long as there is nothing official, you can interpret anything you want into these interviews and statements.

I think Hiddleston has been actively trying to shut down interviewers for a couple weeks now that are trying to ask him about Bond, in his most polite way of course, as seen here:

I am starting to wonder if Babs had any talks with anybody... since there is no official statement of Craigs departure, why should they even look for someone new?
And if Craig departed, why would they keep that a secret? (and if they tryed to keep it a secret, they pretty much failed in that regard)

He didn't seem too comfortable talking about it in that clip above. I have a feeling he's had discussions on account of his demeanour there. Less open about it than before.

Based on that interview, there is no doubt in my mind that he was at least in discusstions for the role.
