I can understand why people wouldn't want Callum Turner, but he has a lot more potential than some of the other suggestions for a younger actor.

I mentioned Hughes sometime back but it all gets drowned out by the Aidan Turner love in.

He as good as an actor if not better than Turner and has form in a very good Le Carresque Spy drama.

As well as Stevens he'd be my pick if I was that bothered.

I'm more concerned with NTTD being released because unlike some I like the current Bond very much.

That will be The Game, which unfortunately only ran for one series. Among the cast was Paul Ritter (Guy Haines in QoS), and Rachael Stirling (Diana Rigg's daughter).

Personally I wouldn't want to see a guy (hughes) with a nose smaller than my tiny niece her nose as Bond. His face shape is wrong as well.

Sure. Really, I'd want to see that. Guy's a stellar thespian.

He'd be a Great Q. Perfect for the part.

I'd like to go back to an older Q, personally.

That is, if Whishaw leaves the role. Like him a lot, but I don't think we need two similar interpretations in a row.

I’ve said before that I could really only see Cumberbatch as a villain, and a great one at that.
I like Wishaw as Q but someday I’d like to see an older Q again. Older than Bond.

That would be swell as well.

Cumberbatch is already 43. Some gray hair here and there and you're good to go, I'd say! Desmond was 50 when he took on the role. Let's say in 7 years time we get the next Bond film... Being realistic here :)

In 7 years Turner will be 43 and a year older than Pierce was when he took on the role. So I'd say our man Turner is also out of the game. Almost everyone is.

Plot twist my friend, I was merely joking. I reckon we'll get the next Bond sooner than that. But even then, at 43 Turner would still be great. He seems to age rather slowly. Hopefully they'll get their act together swiftly at EoN after Daniel's tenure, so we can move on with our heads up high.

Cumberbatch is only three years older than me, I haven’t a hint of grey hair. Too young right now to be Q.

You're probably not far off, and if so, Ben might be a good choice.

Well here's some irony for you. I got my first grey hair when I was 17, now I'm 34 and about 50% is grey now. Not sure if I could be Q though ;)

Keeping my fingers crossed. Quite sure that Benedict would decline. He'd play a great quirky Q I'm sure, he's great at that.

I think the next Bond actor hasn't been born yet. We're in for that long of a gap.

I have no idea where to write this, and I didn't feel like opening a new thread (mods please move my post if there's a thread for this, I simply didn't find any :( )

I know this is a thread about Bond but.. What about Blofeld?

I feel like Vincent D'Onorfio portrayal of the villain in the Daredevil series was amazing and very Blofeld-esque or at least how I would like to see Blofeld presented in a Bond movie.

Great new topic, and I hope the franchise continues to use Blofeld in some way or another.
It's interesting you mention this as I always have dreams of making my own Bond film and I know just the guy I'd use from my acting community here for Blofeld.

Tom Hughes for what? A film about ‘One Direction?’ Surely not as Bond!

I think it is now going to be some time now with the times we live in until we find the answer to this question?

This is why I think it would be awesome if, during this gap, we saw some filmmaking / creative talent from the community. Why not make our own Bond content? It would be hard, and at first the quality probably wouldn't be great, but what if this time became known as the time the community came alive and created tons of passion-fueled projects? I think it would be amazing.

Are you familiar with him @suavejmf ?
Whilst I'm in no hurry to recast the part, Daniel Craig is doing a fine job at present.
I've seen Tom Hughes in several roles, and think he has the acting chops to take on Bond.

I used to write fan fiction. I wish I could find it again as I had posted it on KTBEU.

Agreed @Benny , there are alternatives to Poldark.

Someone who clearly doesn't know his work would make such a comment based on that one photo.

It could be interesting to see Tom Hughes in the role, IMO. I like his acting.

As with several of the names mentioned here, he's been asked about the role as well:

Boy he worked with the right people. Bit of a shame Rachael Stirling was never a Bond girl by the way.
