Don't know how Bateman looks without his beard, bit he could fit.

Without his beard, Bateman looks like the perfect Superman. He would be fine as Bond, I think, close physically to the comic books interpretation.

Isshhh... I'm not convinced by this picture. His voice seems good though.

    Meh.

    You are too kind.

Five years ago The Night Manager was on TV - the media at the time would have us believe that Tom Hiddlestone was nailed on to be the next Bond - who's saying that now. These things are quite annoying but at least it shows that Bond is still of immense general public interest.

Oh yeah. This is the third time in about the same amount of years that the media reported on some guy already being tapped to be the next Bond. I don’t know why some believe these things when the official announcement will only come from EON and anyway, it won’t be until a year or two after NTTD is released at the earliest that we’ll know. Till then, it’ll just be us and the media speculating or throwing their two cents in on who it should be. Just be patient. For now, I just want to see the next film and celebrate my second favorite Bond actor before he’s gone.

A couple of months ago it was reported that Tom Hardy had already signed on to play the role. This shit just keeps getting recycled. Tedious.

I haven't seen TNM, but given that John Le Carré wrote anti Bond novels with anti-Bond spies, I find it odd when people use his work, or adaptations from his work as reference. It's like using The Name of the Rose to say that Sean Connery would make an excellent Bond. Even the claim is true, it's not a relevant argument.

I dunno, I think you very much get the feel Hiddleston was using it as his Bond audition piece. Plus the whole set up is very Licence To Kill, only with arms instead of drugs.

I’d agree. Right down to the ordering of the ‘Vodka Martini’ at the bar and the title sequence!

Nope, not at all , and I've tried to remain open minded that eventually something might click.

If you imagine Daniel Craig's head on that suit, it works. Didn't he wear something similar in CR?

Well, for one, I think he's a good actor with lots of potential. Has a look that would be a "return-to-form" in terms of the classic James Bond look, while remaining relevant with more modern interests in terms of looks. I think he'd also be a good balance of the more classy, traditional characteristics and more rugged, grittiness that was introduced in later approaches. He's at a good age to develop some good projects before possible casting and is in a good position within his career to take on the role if he and the producers wanted him enough.

A South American? This is a joke right? Narcos is great, but this guy is more Sanchez than Bond.

Rugged and gritty? He looks geeky and not much of a ‘leading man.’ IMO.

I agree with you here. In fairness to @Denbigh however, I have not watched him aside from in clips. He also makes a good point in that because of his age, height and general size at least, he probably deserves to be tested.
  • Callum Turner reminds me of a young Roger Moore lol

Yes, it’s a joke, lol... I figured it would be obvious. Think there’s room to loosen up! This isn’t too serious!
