But Chalamet is not seriously considered, surely.
Anyway, I had a quick read through this article below. Don't think that they'll know what kind of actor they're looking for until NTTD is released:

Although, over dinner, Barbara and Cary Fukunaga did discuss possible candidates;
Yes, veryyyy interesting to imagine who may have been named.
Was David Morrissey really considered at the time of Casino Royale?!
It does seem to be so. He is a terrific actor but I agree a slightly off the wall choice. Still, I like that they were casting their net wide.
Watch him as The Governor in The Walking Dead and he has a certain charm, decent looks, and physical presence. You could see why they would consider him on a list of ten or so candidates. It doesn't mean that he was ever close to the role, but when you are EON and you've got an actor who is probably 6 feet tall, dark haired, decent looking, British, etc, then you've got to look at him just in case.
I’m not familiar with him but I’ve seen worse; he has a Billy Zane look to him.
I'm not familiar with him either. He had his well, err, 24 hours of glory back in the days then reverted back to obscurity. If anything he was too tall (!) for Bond.
I'd love that to happen, @JeremyBondon, my friend. Would put my mind at ease. But, in all fairness, I have no faith whatsoever that it will happen. I truly believe it won't actually.
In the diminished chance it will come to fruition, I'll call you up for martinis at St. James pub in Piccadilly.
But I truly think Turner will be the one who got away. And god knows what kind of Bond we'll get next time around, whenever that will be.
And whoever is cast, I will give them a fair chance to prove themselves. Yes, Craig was an unusual casting choice in 2005, and I loved CR.
So it’ll be the same for Bond #7
Yes even if it’s Turner…Aidan Turner @JeremyBondon & @Mendes4Lyfe ;)
All I want.
I hear its Tom Hardy :D

I can imagine the new MGM will perhaps push for a new one as quickly as possible, I wouldn't expect a gap of less than 3 years though, especially with a new Bond to find, so 2024 sounds about right, yeah.
Oh yes I'm sure you're right; especially with the agents pushing their people. I would imagine they can't move for headshots being posted through their door! :D
Hardy is too short for it.
Jack Lowden
Aidan Turner
Nicholas Hoult
Instead of me constantly putting him down, I'm curious to hear some insight and opinions from those who do want him to fill 007's shoes - what is it about Nicholas Hoult that screams James Bond to you?
A very well-asked question. Seriously, man...
