lmao.
Filmmaking.
True. Connery was just fine in DN. A more extreme situation, but Lazenby was just fine in OHMSS, too. Cavill, like Paul - LOOKS so Bondian.
As for Cavill, though, he played a villain in an MI film ! But seriously, folks, please recall he already portrayed an Ian Fleming-created spy character in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Was Hugh Grant's boss character more interesting ? Perhaps. Not that it was Cavill's fault. Grant is a charmer, and the script and lighting and cinematography did not do the film enough favors. At any rate - he already portrayed Napoleon Solo in a film that did not light up audiences enough to warrant a sequel.
I think audiences on the whole would accept him in the role. Despite Daniel Craig taking Bond to another level, and really winning people over in the part, I think Cavill would be a safe option for EON and Amazon. Casting an actor like Henry Cavill might be seen by some fans as taking a step backwards. But in reality how much can you do with the character, before they lose the original character, or become a cliche of themselves.
Bond is unique in never having a flop. Some films perform better than others, but all of them have made money.
The Bond series is an event film, it makes headlines, it's a film people of all ages will go and see. Even the casting of the next actor is major news.
So as long as a credible actor is picked, that audiences can be on board with, then I think half the battle is won.
We call it brown in the rest of the world ;)
Is he handsome/distinctive looking enough though?
:-S
He’s not a very good actor, and hasn’t done anything of note. Even with a mega hit like Avatar, he’s not made an impact in the industry.
I can’t see the Worthington having the same impact on the series as Craig did.
That too.
If he's dark blonde then my brother's a Targaryen.
Shouldn't Bond be at least a tiny bit handsome?
A strong no to Henry 'jack of all trades' Cavill. He isn't a good actor, unless you count an impression of a plank of wood impressive. He's been in way too many high profile productions already and quite honestly, the only logical role next for him should be in 'Chippendales: Balls Out'
I heard that was Aidan Turner's next project? :-S
*Ba dum tiss*
@DewiWynBond Still wondering if you are trolling, as the only the thing I have seen you post about is yourself for becoming the next Bond.
Haha, is that all I talk about?!! Gotta go with you gut instincts.

Ha, I made that a couple years ago, on some day I had too much time on my hands. If I had to make one again there would be quite a few additions.
I remember this caused quite a stir on Reddit because I only had white actors. Oh yeah, and some Irishman was irate because I just put "British."
And they would be right, too! ;)
