All three feature a denouement but only TMWTGG features M. Therefore TMWTGG is the odd one out.

It’s not that @thedove ... I will say that @goldenswissroyale is kind of on the right track with elephants ...🤔

All feature Q. We never see him and Bond in a scene, where he gives the agent a gadget. We only see them together in the lab (briefly) in TMWTGG. Q is in the lab in DAf, too. No Q lab at all in OHMSS =ooo

Afraid not, think less Q more elephant (but not elephants ... )

Lets see...In OHMSS the angels of death reference Bunt by saying she has the ears of an elephant. In DAF an elephant is seen pulling a one armed bandit and in The TMWTGG Pepper gets shoved into the water by an elephant.

So while all feature elephants, OHMSS is odd one out as the elephant is metaphorical and not a real animal.

That’s a superb piece of detective work @thedove - I can give you a pistachio but not the win I’m afraid.

So to expand my clue - it’s not elephants exactly we are looking for, but elephants are animals ... could there be any other animal connections? 🤔 That should definitely get you all on the right track.

Darn I was so pleased with myself! LOL! Okay let me give it some thought and chew on my pistachio.

Is there a person dressed as an animal in all three? (Polar bear, ape and???dragon?)
Another idea. Twice Blofeld's cat and once another cat on Scaramanga's junk? TMWTGG is out?

I don’t know about people dressed as animals but it’s not that, or the cat theory. Good try tho.

I’ll give it another day and then drop another clue. 🤞

This is a shakey one but in ohmss bond arrives at drako's party which is at a bullfighting ring (sort of circus), in daf they go to circus circus and scaramanga used to work in a circus, but no more. So that's the odd one out.

Good thinking @CommanderRoss but it’s not that ...

Difficult to give clues without giving the whole thing away but it’s animals you need to think about - maybe you don’t see the actual animals on screen but they are definitely there ...

    Okay another wild guess:

OHMSS Draco's car is seen driving past a zoo with bears
DAF has an ape in a cage
TMWTGG has an elephant outside in freedom

Therefore TMWTGG is odd one out since it's animal isn't in captivity.

That’s not the one, although again another superb observation ...

... and this time one of your observations has got very close to the key to unlocking the puzzle!

Has it something to do with pictures of animals? Or can you give us another hint?

    Not pictures of animals.

... so you won’t see the actual animals, you will see something else in each film, and each one will have a connection to an animal

If it helps the objects you need to think about have already been mentioned.

    How about this one:

OHMSS Bond is seen being a passenger in a Cougar...Big M Mercury Cougar
DAF Bond is seen driving in a Mustang
TMWTGG Bond is driving a Hornet.

Therefore TMWTGG is out as the animal in question is an insect and not a mammal?

Well done @thedove - I actually went with OHMSS as the OOO as it’s the only one he doesn’t get to drive, but you’ve got all the elements in place so you deserve the win 👍

You could also have gone with the Triumph Stag in DAF (Peter Franks’ car - which Bond then takes over) as an alternative to the gravity-defying Mustang.

Thanks! I like the creativity in that one! Way to challenge us @Max_The_Parrot and thanks for the compliment @goldenswissroyale

Okay my odd one out set is:

    DN LALD TLD

These are all debuts, but only one had a pre title credit sequence that involved, and showed, our new 007 in action(?)

Good guess @peter but I am afraid that's not what I was looking for.

They are all new Bond debuts, but LALD is the OOO as it’s not also a new Moneypenny debut? (I’m wondering if debuts are a red herring!)

Nice guess @Max_The_Parrot I'm afraid I can't divulge whether debuts are a red herring. Sorry about that old man sure you understand.

    Sorry being cheeky. :)

Okay I shall break section 26 paragraph 5 and provide a small hint. :)

The debut of a Bond links the movies, but one debut has an appearance (or two) that make it stand out above the rest.

Hmm, might be a bit too obvious, but they all have different Q situations - DN has Mjr Boothroyd but not Desmond Llewelyn, TLD has the usual Boothroyd (Desmond) in his workshop, but LALD is OOO because Boothroyd doesn’t appear at all?
  • thedovethedove hiding in the Greek underworld

Sometimes the obvious is the correct answer. I will give it to you @Max_The_Parrot my real answer was TLD is the odd one out as it was the only Bond debut to feature Q. I believe he's called "Armourer" in DN.

Thanks @thedove I wasn’t expecting that! Yes he’s not referred to as Q in DN, although his name is given as Major Boothroyd which suggests he is the same character that Desmond assumes. I think we all agree the films wouldn’t have been the same without Desmond taking up the role.

I find it hard thinking up Odd Ones Out, so I’ll just go with a quick, fun one as everyone will be in the Christmas spirit.
