Sorry that I interrupt your amazing private party;)
I'm pretty sure this is wrong but I'd like to try once before it is solved again!

Boat chases in all three. MR is the ooo because there are even two boat chases?

I accept 3 possible variations of the answer, each for a different movie as OOO

    Watches?

FRWL Grant has a watch with a killer razor wire
LALD Bond’s got his magnetic buzz saw watch
MR Bond’s got his underwrist dart gun.

MR for the OOO as it’s not actually a wristwatch

Which is the odd one out from these three classics:

    TB
    YOLT
    MR

All three have the main villain dispose of an underling by way of deadly animals.
MR is OOO since it’s dogs and not fish.

    Well spotted, but sadly no.

TB - Bond poses as Largo frogman.
YOLT - Bond poses as American astronaut.
MR - Bond wears a Drax spacesuit.

TB is OOO since Bond’s ´disguise’ is not a spacesuit.

In all three Bond is seen in the air. MR is OOO has it's the only one with a free fall!

Good ideas but nothing correct so far :)

I have already provided a clue, hidden in plain sight in the first post.

TB - Paula commits suicide by taking a cyanide pill.
YOLT - Aki dies after swallowing liquid poison.
MR - Bond shoots Drax with a cyanide coated dart.
YOLT OOO as poison is not cyanide (?)
MR OOO as victim is villain instead of ally.

MR OOO because you don't consider it a classic - or because it's odd?

TB - fourth Bond film. The Odd One Out. For being even.
    YOLT - fifth Bond film.
    MR - eleventh Bond film.

    Classics!

If you’re at college or university, what subject field is ... classics?

I'm not a native speaker, so I don't know whether I understand this post. Perhaps literature classics, TB OOO because it was filmed in a quite faithful way to the novel?

Ah, my apologies. Classics is the study of Ancient Greece and Rome; literature, myths, god and goddesses ...

This is pretty far fetched but I’ll try
TB - Vulcan (Roman god) bomber hijacked.
YOLT - American and Soviet spacecrafts hijacked.
MR - Moonraker space shuttle hijacked.

TB is OOO since it’s not a space shuttle.

Alternatively all films feature a villain’s lair/residence with a connection to ancient times.
TB - Largo’s residence Palmyra (named after an ancient ruined city).
    YOLT - Blofeld’s volcano.
    MR - Drax’s pyramid.

TB is OOO since Largo’s residence is not actually an ancient city 😁

Definitely on to something here. Drax pyramid is of ancient aztec construction, no?

    Palmyra
    Himeji Castle
    Aztec Pyramid

YOLT OOO because it's the newest?

    TB - Vulcan (Bomber)
    YOLT - Jupiter (16)
    MR - Apollo (Airways)

MR OOO as the Apollo doesn't have anything to do with the main plot? :P Or is in the PTS

    =D> =D> =D>

    Congratulations!!

TB: the Vulcan bomber - Vulcan is a Roman god
YOLT: the Jupiter 16 capsule - Jupiter is a Roman god
MR: the Apollo Airways jet - Apollo is a Roman (and a Greek) god.

MR is OOO for a number of reasons:

    - Apollo is the only one which is a Greek as well as a Roman god
    - The names Vulcan and Jupiter are mentioned in dialogue I believe but not shown on screen, whereas the name Apollo is shown onscreen but not mentioned in dialogue
    - Bond doesn’t travel on either the Vulcan or the Jupiter, but he travels on the Apollo
    - The Apollo is not an essential part of the plot, unlike the Vulcan or the Jupiter (the one you spotted)

I’d have accepted any of those reasons for MR being OOO.

    Well done!
