Potential energy has to be referring to Locque's car teetering on the edge ... maybe that is OOO as it needs a 'helping dove pin'

No, the potential energy aspect isn't quite an obvious part of this round, so it doesn't have to refer to Locque's car. I just used it as a clue.

The potential energy aspect is what makes the three sequences differ from other sequences that are somewhat similar.
EDIT: - @mtm was right about the 2CV chase
    - in DN it's maybe not obvious at first glance how it's connected with the other two sequences

    New clues:
    - direction is important
    - that is, it has got something to do with where people are coming and where they're going.

    New clues:
    - it has to do with a kind of location, in a way
    - it's about car chases, but a bit more specific
    - it's not about the cliffs
    - although the cliffs are somewhat associated with the issue

New clue: in the 3 movies it it isn't just any kind of car chase, but a ________ car chase

Bond is driving up the hill in DN and down in the other two?

Very good, but I'm thinking of another scene in DN.
It's, more or less, the scene you had mentioned before.

Well, I'll declare @mtm the winner as that was close enough, congrats 👍 Downhill car chases in all three movies. Care to guess the OOO criterion? Otherwise you can get the next round started.

FYEO is the only one he has a passenger?

That's not what I'm looking for, but the basic idea of who is involved in the chases is right.

Good work @mtm I wasn't really there. I suppose there's Mr White in the boot in QoS so Dr No is the only one he doesn't have a passenger?

That would have been a great criterion, but no.
It isn't really about persons involved.

I can't think. Dr No has one black car chasing him whereas the other two have multiple ones?

In DN and QOS one car drives /falls down (isn't on the street anymore) and the people inside die. They survive in FYEO after landing on a tree. Noone dies in the FYEO action scene.

Both are good ideas, but ...

That isn't true; that was the point I was looking for (although I can't remember the QoS colours). Over to you

Oh sorry; I was hoping to find out the OOO! I hope you'll tell us :D

In the meantime I'll go for a slightly silly one:

    Moonraker
    Octopussy
    The Living Daylights

They all contain this bit of imagery, and in no other Bond films does it appear.

The OOO was, as you've correctly guessed, that in DN it's only one car chasing. 👍

Bond riding on a horse? (And perhaps not in a group like in AVTAK)

OOO could be OP, he jumps on a plane.

All movies feature a baddie getting a ‘screaming’ send off from Bond while fighting mid-air outside an airplane.
    Few possible OOO
I pick MR as baddie is not main henchman and is dispatched in PTS.

Bond flying a plane/spaceship and landing in a vehicle as well? (in MR derived from context)

TLD OOO, he lands in a Jeep

It's not the one I'm thinking of, I'm afraid.

MR - Bond in the centrifuge miniature cockpit
OP - Bond in the Acrostar miniature cockpit
TLD - Koskov in the 'Scouring Pig' OOO because it's not a cockpit or because Bond isn't in it?

It's less about vehicles although it is to do with transportation.

Bond having his hairdo heavily messed up in headwind?

MR - skydiving OOO not on a vehicle
    OP - on the plane
    TLD - on the Jeep

Heh! It's nicely silly, but it's not what I'm after. Needs more legs ;)

    not easy, this one 🤔

MR - knives in a coffin
TLD - gun in a cello case
OP - nuclear bomb in a circus canon or airplane in a horsebox OOO?
