I think art-wise the teaser from CR is the best. It has a wunderful 60-ies vibe to it. When I see that picture of Bond on that teaser, I think of Sean's first ever scene in the casino in DN. I also like how the picture of Daniel Craig looks like it's drawn..

But, from all those four, I think the one from SPECTRE is the most effective teaser. It sticks best to the essence of teasing. Also, marketing-wise it truly creates gossip, raises questions and makes you scratch why this bullet hole evolves into these tentacles.

I agree. Love CR to death. Don't really like QoS (never a fan of Bond holding machine guns and they did that a lot for the promo of that film for some reason) and didn't like SF (way too boring).

The SPECTRE one is tantalizingly effective, but I don't think a lot of the new fans will understand or even notice the tentacles. That's more for us fan boys and girls.

The CR one is just classic! They should do more in this style again!

The posters all match the themes and content of the films themselves so well...

Casino Royale: the introduction Daniel Craig as the new rebooted James Bond.

Quantum of Solace: the film that has Bond go "under the radar" to get revenge.

Skyfall: the return of Daniel Craig as James Bond after 4 years in it's 50th Anniversary.

SPECTRE: the return of the evil organisation, Spectre
  • CR: Bond begins, at the casino, in dinner jacket
QOS: Bond continues his chase, goes after QUANTUM
SF: Bond starts again, follows his historical path of life
SPECTRE: Return of SPECTRE, connects all previous three films
  • The CR poster is the only one I really love. The rest I can take or leave. My least favorite is probably the SF poster. That could literally be the poster for any Bond film. It has nothing specifically to do with the movie. As much as I loved Skyfall, the marketing department turned in some pretty dull work.

    Top 4:

    1. Casino Royale
    2. Skyfall
    3. Quantum Of Solace
    4. Spectre

I understand the fandom effect of the last one and it be in to your face as said before, but it also be a bit to much TDK to me. QOS and Skyfall be mirror effect, the Skyfall posters it work better. The gun of QOS is left over from CR and Bond his behaviour.

My expect wil be that like Skyfall, the soundtrack of Bond 24 wil have same art as teaser and i hope like QOS soundtrack it wil have poster inside.

I own ''Comingsoon'' edition of poster 3 (Bond in Blue Tux in front of Gunbarrel) of Skyfall and that one fit the best when it whas promote on the streets. There also did this with poster 2 (used later for DVD and Bluray releases), so iam curious what those posters wil look like.

    Those 3 posters hang from 28 October 2012 til 05 or 6 November 2012.

The Dutch release date of Specter to be expect on 5 or 12 November 2015.
  • Well @M_Balje ;-). Don't forget Netherlands is one of the most Bond loving nations on this planet. Skyfall grossed $25.1 Million in The Netherlands. Which was way more than the box office grosses in large countries like Brazil, India, Russia, Italy & South-Korea, And it wasn't far away from Japan's box office gross.

The poster marketing work on QOS and SF is some of the laziest in the series so far. So bland.

CR had wonderful posters though. Excited to see what imagery they'll come up with for SPECTRE, considering the history the organisation has.

I think the teaser poster from CR was a classic. Although it gave away a bit too much for me. It could have been the final poster as well.

The poster that really "teases" if you ask me, is the one from SPECTRE.

I agree with you on the Skyfall with the white background, very bland indeed , however the one where Bond is in the tunnel that looks like a gun barrel is just awesome.

That's the actual teaser poster. I like it too. Perhaps "unoriginal", although you can see a road in this gunbarrel. The road towards completion perhaps? Which in essence is a theme of "Skyfall". The road, after three Craig outings, towards the ultimate rejuvenated agent 007.

I think all of these posters signify 'class.' It didn't cross my mind what non-fans might make of the SPECTRE poster, however, and it's true!

I'm positive the symbol of SPECTRE is nowhere near as well known as, say, Marvel's Hydra logo so I wonder what the general public thinks of this? Does it look like a spider? TBH it might look like 'just' a bullet hole to them!

The CR teaser and the SP gun shot posters are by far the best Bond posters since the 80s.

I love the CR teaser poster and SP is artistically sound as well. Still miss the posters of the 60's and 70's.

I have to say, whatever one's think of the movie, I think QOS's teaser poster is great, maybe the greatest.

Has anyone actually seen these official publicity shots/poster of Roger Moore posing as James Bond-007 for his first Bond outing? Pictures were made by Terry O'Neill:

And off course we know this one:

Steve Mcqueen wore similar in Bullit I believe. We have seen Mcqueen influences all through Dan's films. And was also the inspiration for LALD wardrobe.

And now the quadrilogy of full US One-Sheet/International posters :-). Have a good look at how James Bond changed from a battered and bruised guy who just got his 00-licence, into the suave, self-assured and happy looking secret agent we all want to see ;-):
