I feel the same !
I find the DB10 over designed
ROMA 860K
Do the last 3 letters of Bond's plate mean anything?
DB10 AGB
Yup. Over designed is the word. Weird that the film features two non-production super cars. It takes things into the realm of fantasy.
Not sure Aston Martin is in a great place at the moment. They weren't at the Frankfurt motor show, basically because they can't afford it. They're very much living hand to mouth with very little money for new product development. I'm not sure about their design direction either.
This high end market is very difficult, especially if you don't have the backing of a large parent company. They were much better off when they were owned by Ford and there were synergies with Jaguar, who were part of the same division.
I wonder if JLR has its eyes on Aston. Could make sense, although Jaguar is not exactly a roaring success either.
I agree with the DB10 being a little overdesigned; I must admit I'm not entirely too fond of the front of it. Prefer the DB9, which is what I would buy if I were in the market (or a Continental GT ;) )

Here are some publicity pictures of the Roll-Royce Phantom Series II. I saw the car in real several times. And by jolly this car is huge. Perhaps the biggest British car in its class:
I actually think, "SPECTRE" most be the most orgasm-inducing Bond film in decades because of all its fantastic cars. Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce, Jaguar, Land Rover, Range Rover.....even a Lotus Evora for the Italian police during the Rome car chase :-P:
I feel exactly the same
@Gustav_Graves
Can I just point out that this entire article is stolen from me, word for word.
It even has my twitter handle and t-shirt store still linked. Not. Okay.

Unbelievable.
Can I point out that I was mainly looking at the website elitelimoblog.com for these pictures?? And moreover, these pictures of Waltz in front of his Rolls were already posted some months ago in our production timeline topic.
I am sorry if I have posted some of your pictures. But even then you should be happy your Twitter tags are mentioned, so people can visit your website. And also, please send me a private message if I did something wrong.
But they are pictures I collected, and words I put to print. It's ridiculous that someone on that site has the nerve to pull that off.
They credited to Gizmodo, who simply shared my post (at my request).
How hard is it to ask permission.
Anyway, no harm done, GG
No worries :-). Let's go back on topic......about all these wonderful cars appearing in "SPECTRE".
By the way...I really get a creepy feeling about Franz Oberhauser. I actually dreamt about this character recently. It was a godawful nightmare that awoke me around 3:00 AM in the morning.
@Gustav_Graves Care to tell your nightmare? I've never had a Bond related dream before.
@Giugiaro Did you get those pictures up yet?

The fact that Paul McCartney saw GF and went and bought a DB5 is great. But no one can go and buy this car. That's a shame IMO.

Providing they've got £1.5 million, any Tim, Sean or Roger can buy a Bond car (the going rate for a classic Aston Martin DB5). But driving like 007 - a man capable of imbuing a Citroen 2CV with a certain frisson - is an entirely different matter. Like the way he carries an Anthony Sinclair suit or Walther PPK, there's something instinctive and wordless about it. But buried under the kudzu of tyre smoke and arched eyebrows there's an imitable kernel of… Bondness.
"Fast, stylish and controlled. That's how you define Daniel Craig's Bond in the car!" shouts Mark Higgins, three-time Word Rally champion and Bond's driving double in Spectre. He's currently steering Bond's new Aston-Martin DB10 at roughly three times the speed of sound at Longcross studios, where some scenes were shot for the film. As GQ contemplates the swift, savage and extremely irreversible implications of what seems like an imminent crash, he adds, "You'll see through the chase sequences that he's always on the [racing] line, adding a little bit of oversteer because his [Aston Martin DB10] has the power to kick the back end out. He might even tweak the handbrake going into the corners so he gets a bit of a drift, but he's always in control and his focus is getting from A to B."
With Craig, says Higgins, it's all about the details. Small reactions, "but the car's dancing." In Spectre, for instance, he casually calls in for intel while drifting past the Vatican, where the major chase sequence is filmed, at 100mph. More importantly, says Higgins: Craig's not scared of a few stone chips. "He doesn't mind scratching the paint."
Not all Bonds drive equally. Craig is gritty and realistic: almost like he wants to see damage (see Quantum), or at least void the warranty (see literally every other car he drives). By the end of filming, says special effects supervisor Chris Corbould, who's directed the stunts on 15 Bonds, "the cars are wrecked. That's Daniel's style - he doesn't want the car to be shiny and pristine after a chase."
Enter Pierce Brosnan, who, like so many 40-somethings, went through an unfortunate BMW stage.
thanks for posting!
Subscriber edition came today so cover will be different on the shelves of newsagents - looks a really good relevant read on the DB10 and C-X75
These aren't the best pictures but they show the flavour of the contents:
