Just had these sent to me.

Craig spotted today at a friend's gun range in upstate NY. Practising most likely for some light relief and Bond23? :-D

    according to info it's a Barrett .50
    Don't know a thing about guns.
    Is the second picture a Walther PPK?

    His friend is Anthony Cumia from The Opie and Anthony radio show. He is on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio. Sirius channel 197. XM channel 202 from 6AM to 11:AM eastern.
    Apparently he does a talk show from his basement bomb shelter studio.

    Yes, that could be rather cool - but, depending on how it were handled, arguably cooler on-location than at MI6 HQ. ;)

    listening to Opie and Anthony as i occasionally do... these were most likely just Craig and Ant doing some leisurely shooting at a range....

    and even though that is some heavy duty artillery Craig is handling in that 1st and 3rd pic - that is how Anthony Cumia rolls lol - he has his own private arsenal of weaponry..

    it is nice to see Craig firing the Walther in the 2nd pic though - can't deny that that brought a smile to my face :-)

    Agreed. It would be nice to see Bond engaged in what is required in his profession. Let's leave all the holograms out this time please!

    I'd also love to see him merely socialising with someone - a work colleague or a woman. Perhaps he could be having dinner or a drink or playing Bacarrat. I fear this all might be a bit too slow paced for today's Bond producers though.

    I just finished rereading the Fleming short stories and liked the bit with Bond at the gun range in TLD. As Craig's Bond is so obviously a highly trained professional I think a quick bit of him at a firing range (and displaying great skill there) would be a nice prelude to him getting summoned by M for a briefing.

    i am quite envious of Mr Cumia..... get to hang out with James Bond, and fire guns and have drinks? - i would die a happy man if i ever had that chance lol.

    Great pictures. Even though it's likely not for Bond 23, it's nice to see Craig handling some weapons. I foolishly hope this type of scene is in the next film.

    That's shocking - he's drinking!!!! I thought he became Muslim, maybe it was his new wife's religion that he's following now. Still shocked. I don't know, I might have to take a walk on a beach somewhere, put my hands on head or throw some stones into the sea...DC drinks omg.

    Daniel, 43, skilfully handled weapons, including a 007-style Walther PPK pistol and a powerful Barrett .50 Calibre Sniper Rifle.

    Radio DJ Anthony Cumia owns the guns and took his actor pal to the shooting range in Long Island, New York.

    He said: "Daniel is an excellent shot. He got about 95 per cent accuracy. We spent the entire day there. He wanted to brush up on his shooting.

    "I packed almost my entire arsenal - and made sure I had my PPK. When he fired it, that was about as close to Bond talk as we got."

    The Walther PPK has featured as Bond's weapon of choice in numerous movies.

    It has featured in many of the famous films, including For Your Eyes Only, Dr No and Goldfinger where it is hidden in a hollowed-out copy of The Bible.

    After their day's shooting Daniel, who wed Mummy star Rachel Weisz, 41, in New York last month after a whirlwind romance, went back to Anthony's place for a drink.

    Anthony, who hosts the Opie and Anthony show on SiriusXm, said: "We went to my compound for Guinness on tap.

    "He seriously dug my Ford Shelby and revved it up. He's funny as hell and a really great guy."

    With Ramadan coming up, I though he would have made the effort and stick to his calling and become a revert. His other half might have influenced him.

    yes out of all the actors to be bond DC looks the most creditable behind the Barrett
    .50cal. I would love to see him wield a big revolver too...
