Can't believe I didn't notice that before. I'm almost anal about films being coded at the right aspect ratio - really bugs me when I notice it. Will have to do a like for like comparison sometime.
@Kananga are you able to answer whether A View To A Kill is no longer cropped? And has the deliberately shaky shot been put back in?
It's the shot when Bond boards the snowmobile which get shot at in the PTS. It was always deliberately shaky, until the 'restoration' for the UE DVD releases 'fixed' it.
From what I can tell the shot has been fixed, and no cropping, AVTAK looks sharper then TLD.
The only let down with AVTAK is the bad projection shots, when Bond is on the ladder of the fire truck and fighting Zorin on the GGB.
The Florida shots when Bond goes looking for the Shark with Sharkey look great. One of the best Bond films made.
Do amazon even realise that thats the idea of a preorder. You preorder so oyu get it on release date. Thats pritty bad. I havent got mine either from hmv. They sent it out wenesday. so it should be here for Monday, hopefuly.
Same here, and I originally per-ordered with Amazon, but like you say, come tomorrow, we should have a knock at our doors...
OK, that's promising. Thanks. I'll find a video online - there must be one! - of the differences between the SE and UE versions. Also the cropping is far less than GoldenEye but some of the image was still sliced off.
Do you know if he listened to it in DTS-HD master audio?. Because I did read that OHMSS and YOLT had great DTS-HD master audio soundtracks....
Do all the films have the mono track in place? I hope so, far better than the 5.1 mix! :-&
I've got a 7:1 surround headset - that'll be my ears for weeks.
EDIT: It's actually the PlayStation one, $65, very good deal.
Didn't know there was such a thing. Are they wireless?
Yes, they charge with a mini-USB. They look ridiculous, but they sound brilliant.
I think I bought them at the Source (I'm in Canada). You can get them anywhere - Future Shop, BestBuy, all that. I paid $65ish.
Yep. Hope it comes tomorror for u and me. it should with it been release date.
Just waiting for citysprint to deliver mine :)]
Might be a rights issue, but I'm not sure.
