Agreed.
That said, I love the scene where she dies. I think anyone who thinks it's Craig being too callous has totally lost the plot. It's one of the best in the film.
Impression. I think her Death scene was very Fleming, and what was Bond
Supposed to do, he had a gun at his head. When he got the chance he killed
Them all.
Cinematic 007... oh how I love thy flights of fancy, thy mysterious gadgets and thy far away places!
I love the icon-ism of it all - the celluloid images forever burnt onto my consciousness
Picture perfect Aston Martins....
A white Lotus beneath the sea...
Skiing, white mountaintops...
Tranquil mahogany offices with double leather-clad doors...
Daring aerial stunts...
Turquoise hued antics under the ocean...
Oh, and Naomie from TSWLM (easy now...) =P~
Roger was awesome in FYEO & OP.
Lazenby was good considering his theatre background at the time.
LTK & QOS have unusually perfect endings.
I love having a new thread where I can just string along some of my favorite things, like a necklace.
For today, I'll make this shorter than usual list:
I love ... 8->
Connery's attitude and style in the first three films
Moore in TSWLM and FYEO gave me the most fun, with some fine serious moments, too, in two sparkling films that will always be among my favorites
Dalton in TLD was a great Bond in an unusually romantic Bond film (which I do appreciate)
Brosnan in GE and TND - I fell in love with Bond again, even though my heart had been broken by Timothy not retuning; and frankly, that was no small feat of Brosnan's, moving the series forward and being a a very cool, and memorable Bond
Craig - From the PTS ("I know where you keep your gun"), he had me sold - and how I love the way he just was Bond, right from the start, and a very compelling, growing, challenging, and great Bond he has become.
That's all for now.
Sean was brilliant between DN and GF, Lazenby was good, Rog is my favourite, Dalton is my second favourite, Brozzer is very good (especially in GE and TWINE) and Craig is good, too.
My favourite scores are FRWL, GF, TB, YOLT, OHMSS, LALD,TSWLM, MR, OP, AVTAK, TLD and GE.
Favourite villains are Dr No, Rosa Klebb, Blofeld (OHMSS and DAF), Kananga, Scaramanga, Zorin, Sanchez, Trevelyan, Carver and Elektra King (the Broz era had some great villains).
Favourite henchmen/women are Red Grant, Oddjob, Fiona Volpe, Irma Bunt, Wint&Kidd, Tee Hee/Baron Samedi, Jaws (TSWLM), Mayday, Dario and Xenia.
Favourite Bond Girls are Honey, Tania, Pussy, Tracy (absolute favourite), Tiffany, Solitaire, Melina, Octopussy, Pam, Natalya and Camille.
I love 1987 - 1997; my Favourite Bond years.
From beginning to end, the most satisfying Bond movie ever. Pure OTT cinematic perfection. I even liked Terri in it. Pierce, Michelle & Roger brought back the sheer fun & spectacle of Bond!
No, it wasn't FRWL or LTK...
It was Pierce's YOLT! And WE LIKED it that way!! =D>
Absolutely the best scene in the entire series, for me.
The scene in OHMSS when Bond is being pursued thru the Christmas village to the tune of "do You Know How Christmas Trees are Grown?" the whole scene has a very surreal effect to it. And seeing Bond at the end of his rope as he is waiting for Bunt and her men to capture him. Laz really played this scene well.
Tracy
The CR theme song
Vesper Lynd
Bond scaling that rock in FYEO. A real suspenseful scene with Roger (these had become few and far between from 1973-1985
Bond's fight on the train in OP
Connery's "Shocking, positively shocking" line
Dalton's scenes with John Rys Davies in TLD

I no longer feel alone in this! :x
Yes, no doubt he does it best. Assured and confident walk, with a fast turn and accurate single handed aim.
