The project is still viable it is just that some of the goalposts have been changed...and if the negotiations are successful then I will fund the recording myself. So nobody loses out...just a matter of timing and no funds were actually taken

So I certainly wouldn't rule out this project happening just yet.

The Kickstarter campaign has been shelved :(

Call me cynical but a little part of me wonders if this was nothing more than a test to see whether there was enough interest to make it financially viable to secure the rights and re-record.

That seems possible, but it would still show that someone has the sincere intention of re-recording it.

No really, that sucks ! I'll have to make do with my CD, which I made using iTunes (the original album and the Prague Symphony Orchestra version of "Arrival at Château Drax/Freefall").

At least this youtuber made his own versions of the lost music. While not the greatest of quality it's a good effort.There's even more lost music on my thread here.
