    For everyone that is excited about Villeneuve potentially directing, could you please enlighten me on his creditinals? I've never heard of him before.

    You're truly missing out mate, he's one of my favorite directors working today. Do try to watch any (or all) of Prisoners, Sicario, and Arrival. The new Blade Runner looks incredibly promising as well.

    @jake24, DV has made my three favourite films since 2013... I do find him the best visual storyteller, yes, more than Nolan, that is working in the industry at this moment.

    I've seen her in other things, like Top of Lake and High-Rise, but yes, I know her best from Mad Men over seven seasons. Her role as Peggy Olson in that show certainly influences my suggestion. I just think she can readily play that smart but somewhat ignored office type. Interesting to look at, intelligent, charismatic, but a little Plain Jane.

    Mad Men and The Handmaid's Tale are the only projects i've seen her in but top of the lake looks really good, She seems like a strong actress who could handle her own against craig.

    Or perhaps we should be a tiny bit less critical. The movie hasn't even premiered yet, but given the style of posts in here it sometimes seems it already did. That's a bit sad. I know why we behave like we are all our own professional director, because we truly are the die-hard of die-hard Bond fans in here. But perhaps we also should be a bit less......die-hard......and simply look forward to another Bond film. Trying to be a Bond fan from the 1960's or 1970's every now and then :-).

    Blunt might make a decent villain as well. Always highly watchable.

    Series 1 of top of the lake was very good. Series 2 slightly embarassing

    Maybe they're hoping to capitalize on the Star Wars audience, but really, it's not a story that hooks a mass audience. Feels to me like it has the makings of a flop.

    Dune 84 was horrible, but Baron Harkonnen was good.

    Dune can work if executed right. It doesn't have to be the next Valerian. These sort of projects need the right script, vision and cast. Don't try to tell it all in one go. Make one film with a decent hook and if there's appetite for it, then churn out a sequel.

    Good call. I'd imagine he'd be quite coy when talking about Dune and Bond if eyeing both projects.

    It has already started in Europe. I don't think anyone has asked Villeneuve about Bond yet.

    Is this the same rumour that was going round a month or so ago?

    I still think it's a shame Kathryn Bigelow turned down Bond. Would love to see her take on the character.
