It would really be nice if EON would put quality ahead of popularity when choosing a singer this time.

You have to work in a rather narrow arena to write a truly iconic Bond theme.
Three iconic Bond title songs: Goldfinger, Live and Let Die, A View to a Kill. What narrow arena are you talking about??

I would not mind seeing Arctic Monkeys have a crack at the title song. They’re pretty good!

weren't arctic monkeys big about ten years ago?

If Lily James and Benedict Cumberbatch are indeed in the film then I’ll finally start to believe. Until then, calling BS as it’s CashleyPersia.

Lily seems more plausible than Cumberbatch but I'm skeptical at present. I do hope Bonham Carter is false.

+1. My sentiments exactly. I'm taking them all with a pinch of salt.

So I'm assuming Cashley Persia is the JBR podcast's insider? They seem to mention Lily James in their latest episode?

Adele and Sam were fine. “Skyfall” is a great Bond song imho, and “Writing’s on the Wall” isn’t too bad—the falsetto sections drag it down. But it is time for a British rock band to do this.

Sam wasn't fine. He was far from being fine with that falsetto and that uninspired song.

The song just needed a woman to sing it. Smith was godawful.

I'm re-reading some bits and pieces of the amazing SOME KIND OF HERO book, and a unused title for SKYFALL came to my mind, that I think would fit perfectly for BOND 25.

    NOTHING IS FOREVER

    What do you guys think?

Not too bad. But The Property of a Lady is still the best choice.

HORRIBLE. Truly awful. It contains not one, but TWO words from my "the words that should NEVER be used in future Bond titles" list.

Other words on that list: diamond, gold, die, kill, everything.

I'd be fine with it; mirrors DAF a bit, but given that the phrase is also uttered in the novel, I'd like to see it used. Overall I just want to see something pulled from Fleming's work again and used as a title. I'll still plug in Revolver of Resignation for Craig's final installment, would love that title.

NOTHING IS FOREVER would be fitting indeed if B25 ends up the final Eon Bond film.

So I am rewatching Blade Runner 2049 and remembering how much I liked Ana de Armas and thought she would make a great Bond girl. Well, turns out she is in the musical that Boyle is currently filming. Hmmmmm...

The Property of a Lady and Risico remain my Top 2 choices. After that it becomes sort of murky.

It just feels like both of those will be a case of shoe-horning.

My top choice is something original that is evocative and intrinsic to the story/plot. SF did this.

Mine as well, though I do like THE HILDEBRAND RARITY. Pity SPECTRE kind of messed that option up.

I completely believe had there been a Bond film in 2010 Gaga would have done the theme song for it.

While I’m leaning toward Arctic Monkeys or one of the Gallaghers, Gaga would be an outstanding choice. She would bring a classy edginess.
