    35 to 45 would suit Craig’s Bond.

Fair points but 70 is extreme (19 years older then Bond) when 18 years younger is not?
I forgot to address this in my previous post. My view on this is at 70 it becomes very difficult to be credible sexually and physically, although there are exceptions (Harrison Ford being one perhaps).

There are several 50 year olds who are in top shape and can appear (this being the operative word) as virile and sprightly as far younger men (or women). Film is all about acting, so if someone can credibly portray an agent younger than his years (which Craig will have to) or a woman more mature than hers (for instance), then I'm all for it.

For me it comes down to a credible suspension of disbelief, which is an acting job, irrespective of age.

Jennifer Lawrence for example routinely acts above her age credibly imho.

You seem to have a thing for Jennifer Lawrence @bondjames. You've already mentioned how you're disappointed that JenLaw isn't appearing in the new Tarantino movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. A sentiment that I can't personally get on board with, but each to his own.

If there is an american actress who can really pull off a bond girl then it's Jennifer Lawrence

Do I think she's one of the best American actresses of her generation and a bit of a chameleon? Why yes, @bondsum, I do. However my comment here is purely in the context of her acting above her age in quite a few roles I've seen her in, and credibly with older men. It was purely as an example.

Very observant of you to notice my comments on the other thread as well, but that was more in the context of her looks, which I think can more readily match Tate at the time of her death. Acting wise, Robbie should be fine, as I noted there.

As with any successful actor, I can appreciate thst there are differences of opinion on the matter, which is fine of course.

Its funny to assume, young women canr go gaga over older men. It happens all the time. Majority and confidence are strong weapons.

Personally though, I would go with someone in their 30‘s. End 30‘s maybe. Just to not fire these discussions.

For me that is woman from 1972 - 1992 as 1980 born. Iam a couple of months older then Ben Wishaw. To give idea Maggie Gyllenhaal is from 1977 and Alicia Vikander from 1988.

A little young for the current Bond. Though I like the suggestion by @patb on the previous page. Tomei, like Diane Lane, Julianne Moore and Virginia Madsen, is a mature actress I would like to see in a Bond film.

She wasnt too young for R‘s ex, bit generally speekmg, I agree.

MGyllenaal- god no. She is ugly from my side of view. Like really, rellay ....

Agree on Maggie G. I don’t find her attractive in the slightest. Absolutely not Bond material in my book.

Yes I think even Lawrence may have difficulty being credible opposite Craig. I had just proposed her as an example of someone who can scale up age-wise, but there are limits.

Coincidentally, I saw Oceans 8 last night. Ann Hathaway is someone I was never impressed by at one time (in fact, I used to dislike her) but since TDKR I have grown to like her a lot as far as American actresses go. One could even say I'm a full blown fan these days.

Bonham Carter was in it too. Sadly I'm still not convinced by her.

Anne Hathaway. Now that's an American actress worthy of Bond Girl.

She's put on a little weight these days, but not in a bad way. Filled out nicely imho. Less youthful but more woman-like.

No, they have to be the same age. Preferably born on the same day.

Didn't someone post a photo shop pic of Craig as ATOMIC BOND awhile back?
Gave a good idea what that might look like if her were to play both parts!

Endless thunders, but just ten fingers.

Hm - not convinced. Also - if a thunder is so weak, that he needs endless more to make an Impression, not sure its worth listening to its noise

She didn't to me, either, until I saw her in Passengers. Holy cow.

Agreed. She and DC have an odd past...

Not much of a fan of Anne Hathaway, even though she nowadays knows a little more than just stare with her big eyes. Summer Cummings on the other hand should be cast just for her name alone, regardless of her age. Or she should have been cast for her name alone 15 years ago.

If craig got in really lean & killer shape they can use that to recreate some buzz like the shirtless CR beach scene. I'd like to see the theme of bond embracing the reality that he has many more years left as a 00,
