I liked Vikander in UNCLE, but she was awful in anything else I've seen her in.
She's obviously beautiful but she's just dull.
Overrated to the core. That's for sure.
I think the same about her, Jennifer Lawrence and Scarlett Johansson. Keep all three of them away from 007!
I like ScarJo as an actress a lot, but Jennifer Lawrence definitely needs to stay the hell away from 007. She’s problematic enough.

I like both, but I find Jennifer Lawrence's schtick, when not acting, intolerable.

Her talk show "persona" you mean? It's really irritating.

Yeah, her "look at me, i'm goofy waaaaa" thing.

I look at Jennifer Lawrence as Hollywood's female Donald Trump. She doesn't know what she's talking about. She shoots her mouth off, and it's going to backfire on her, if it hasn't already. She claims to drop out of middle school, but in actuality she dropped out of high school because she was bored. Now she goes to schools to talk to kids about politics. No wonder my country is in so much trouble in the future.

Actors should just stay out of politics entirely. Either become a politician, or keep shut. it's not surprising, really, actors and politicians both lie for a living. So they aren't much different.

+1. Still, one's an entertainment, the other is real-life conflicts. You're one or another. You can't be both.

The New York Film Academy seems to be shooting a 'Bond 25 spec teaser trailer' and I have no idea what that means. https://backstage.com/casting/james-bond-bond-25-spec-teaser-trailer-234202/

As said above, this teaser is commissioned by the NYFA and will be directed this July by a film student called Hector Magana, who has filmed several shorts over the years.

Now here's where it gets interesting with the description: The premise is Bond's return to work, showing everything that our favorite spy is: Cars, suits, martinis, girls, and guns. All of this, presented by the most iconic Bond brand: Aston Martin. This is a workshop as part of an assignment for the New York Film Academy."

Based on that it sounds like a commercial-type teaser for AM... but for what purpose and for what audience? Might it be a commercial that becomes public in the lead up to B25 (like other product placement brands traditionally produce)? Or is this simply a film student's project? But if that is the case, then why specifically mention Bond 25?

    Thoughts?

So what is the purpose of associating it with Bond 25 then?

There will no be official Bond trailer ever before filming ever, let alone filmed by a film student.

    Obviously.

The question is whether this spec(ial) teaser trailer commercial, presented by Aston Martin, will be used by EON or if it's a private, unofficial short.

I've given it some thought and am guessing it could be a teaser for the new Aston Martin featuring in B25. The video can be played during the press announcement right before unveiling the car in front of the reporters. Or simply a web exclusive for those watching the show live online etc. Let me put it this way; *if* you were going to make an introduction video for Bond's new Aston Martin, then this is how it'd be done.

*could* be something akin to the Uber commercial starring "Tom Cruise´s stunt man". Something that doesn´t directly feature anything from the film (except of course Bond´s possible ride) but could still be used in connection with pr for the film.

There was even a trailer? I didn´t know that.

But it could be a sequel to The Driver :-). Although it would be somehow embarrassing to go from John Woo to a film student...

According to her official website "London is her key area of expertise, but she has also worked extensively in other parts of the country including most parts of the South of England, Scotland, The Lake District, Yorkshire and Norfolk, and further afield in Spain and Egypt."

So, can we expect more London locations as previously posted? Or Spain locations? Remember DC was in Spain a couple of months ago "filming a commercial". ;)

Maybe a Spain based PTS?? I am pretty sure that was already identified as a Heineken commercial

That title went to Emma Pill last time, who operates out of the UK but does plenty of location work in other countries. I'm not sure if this is any indication of London's prominence, but admittedly not the best sign.

Maybe Danny Boyle going with new people is a good thing. Bond movies in particular have a tendency to have the same people around too long. Then they don't realize their creative spark with Bond is gone.

Was the Stephenson scoop a JB.de exclusive, or did they just source it from that movie database? Originally I was expecting an article about it on the website, but they haven't even updated their crew listings. Not exactly a sign of confidence.

The Egypt scenes in the spy who loved me are some of the most beautifully shot in the entire franchise it would be great if bond went back to Egypt for bond 25
