Interestingly, the Dec. 1, 2014 draft had the gunbarrel open up on the skeletons, similar to this.
To have "best popular picture" as its own thing, is just another way to say that it really isn t any good.
But it's also a way of acknowledging that the best picture is not always very popular, which is often the case.
I find it surprising that there was no discussion here regarding this article - specifically the Rachel Weisz comment. I guess people have finally learned to ignore my posts!
What would the quote even be hinting at? Seems contradictory to the casting call info as well.
.
Kinky.......
Yikes. Brings me flash-backs of 'Enemy at the Gates' and it's Euro-blancmange bad accents.
What's Euro-blancmange?
Russian, or any other distinctly accented characters, being played by British or American actors without any attempt of hiding their accents.
They did it in Valkyrie, too.

With the way things are going Bond 26 will end up winning the new popular film Oscar without even being filmed yet.
I've defended Barbara in the past, but this is beyond the pale. Perhaps it's time they do think about selling.
Born the same year as Lazenby, and has the same birthdate as @barryt007 's beloved Kara- Maryam d'Abo.
Strong, well built, and as the classic TV series GOOD TIMES showcased, could make Bond a down to earth hard worker.
In addition, DIE HARD 2 displays he can handle actions scenes with no problem.
Anyway, Elba as Bond is a moot discussion at this point, unless they plan to debut Bond#7 as both black and nearing 50yo.
I mentioned it because Weisz was in Enemy at the Gates and (I seem to remember) the film had a mish-mash of English, American and put-on bad Russian accents. I believe Hugh Grant may have coined the 'Euro-blancmange' term, using it to refer to some of dodgy costume dramas he appeared in during the 80s and 90s, with funding cobbled together from various European countries and a cast (and range of accents) to match.
Hmmm. Everyone knows this is almost certainly Craig's last. I wouldn't be surprised if Babs was open to a black Bond. I doubt Elba is top of her list though. He'd have been great about 15 years ago when they made the Wire, but he's now obviously far too old.
I think a black Bond will happen within our lifetimes so those having a cardiac arrest at the idea better man up and learn to deal with it. Fleming was supposedly horrified by a working class Scot playing Bond but ended up liking Connery's take and writing the character a Scottish ancestry. So let's all grow up and accept that Bond could also be black.
I don't really think B26 or the future of the series after Craig is even remotely on Barbara or Michael's minds like it is ours. The task at hand is indeed B25, which their focus should be on.
"Too bad McClane. I kind of liked you."
"I got enough friends!"
Sorry, couldn't resist.
Great line. I've been in the mood for DH2, lately but am debating on waiting until Christmastime before I pop it in again. Watching a lot of GOOD TIMES episodes recently. Amos is great.
In terms of iconic characters played outside their traditional ethnicity, I could see John Amos making a great Mike Hammer. Especially during the DH2 era. Give Stacy Keach a run for his money.
