My personal hope is The Hildebrand Rarity and my personal fear is either Smersh or Shatterhand but we shall see

Or The Shatterhand of Smersh :))

Death to spies world for me. Gary Oldman has to be in a Bond film at some point if not this. The Russians need to be the villains as Putin is a dead ringer for Kronsteen!

Yes, it feels completely insane to me too, after so much waiting.

I agree with both of you. I can't wait to see who's cast.

I think that title would be great. It's catchy (suits the studio), there might be a Russian angle (suits the director) and there's a link to Fleming (suits the fans).

I would only love shatterhand if its a true adaptation of YOLT, but from everything we have read it seems we are getting a standalone story

But Bond should be different from those and Rambo.

Plus it can be personal. So they should go with JAMES.

And have Stacey Sutton announce the title with such heavy enthusiasm.

I'm ashamed to admit that I like this idea. The tagline underneath should be:

    "you know the rest"

„Shatterhand“ will sound like a joke to the general german audience, since nearly everybody will associate this with the Winnetou westerns of the 60s. No way it will have this title over here.

I hope for „Property Of A Lady“ - there‘s good ways to translate it plus it would be a Fleming title.

Maybe "Young Shatterhand" could work. :)

Sounds like a teen movie title :))

I'm surprised we never had a movie title with "blood" in it. So far we've only got Blood Fever, which was a Young Bond book title. Actually, that ain't too bad.

“Smersh” would actually be a great title, as all of the craig titles are. Far better than what we had during the brosnan era.

So far Eon has has shown decent taste in Bond titles by not copying other franchises . We never had roman numerals thank goodness. Could you imagine OCTOPUSSY II: The Wrath of Kamal Khan?

This current trend of titles such as JASON BOURNE, LOGAN, STAR TREK, SOLO, etc completely bore me when Fleming lived in an era where a book or film's title was very important.

If the Bonds were produced by anyone other than Eon, I do think we'd get a film called:

    JAMES BOND.

With Boyle being a fan of Fleming perhaps we will get a Fleming-esque title for B25?
I still would love the remaining short story titles to be used at some point. I'd substitute 007 in NEW YORK with THRILLING CITIES, though.
Somehow I have a feeling we may get another made up title.

I would mind either version. They have a Bondian ring, without being too on-the-nose.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Danny Boyle is the perfect choice for Daniel Craig's last Bond film. I believe Bond 25 could become a critical darling. The comedic elements always came off as slightly out of place in the Sam Mendes movies, and Boyle could probably do a better job of implementing those moments.

A critical darling is the last thing I want a Bond film to be.

Same, and even if 'Death to Spies' is also the name of a video game. It needs to happen.

As it happens, the fan favourites are the ones critics also like the most.

Unless we are going down the cul-de-sac of "real fans..." (and lets not even waste time doing that), that means nothing. Pick a Bond film, it's a fan favourite.

    Seven letters is better.

    SMERSCH. Or maybe SHMERSH.
