If they got that right, i bet they got this one too but Im inclined more towards choosing Aidan Turner it fits more the profile of the previous actors before Bond.
Hidleston is a little too high profile for Bond. He is not Brad Pitt famous but he has a big role in a movie franchise which is Thor and has done some important stuff in film.
Turner on the other hand has never had a major film and no one knows him from that medium. He is a tv star just like was Pierce, Moore and recently Sean Connery as well.
The established actors EON chooses are all from tv non from previous films if its not Turner im thinking they could take a look to the Game of Thrones cast.
I hope Craig doesn't quit too early as he might still have a belter in him. It's a shame they did the whole over the hill thing In SF as I feel he's just ready for that storyline now.
Bringing back Campbell would be great as both his movies were excellent (at least in my opinion), but it's no guarantee of success.
i would take Mendes - only sans John Logan and sans Thomas Newman.... i don't mind his direction style, i only question some of his story input at times... he would have to be monitored..
the only previous director i would not welcome back is Tamahori... every decision that man made was a shit one.
i dont disagree... especially from a writing perspective - desperately need something new there... it's been virtually the same people since 1999 - time to flip the matress.
Fingers crossed!
Cambell did a good job with CR but GE remains one of my least favourite entries. Third from bottom.
To clarify I like Mendes but he's given Bond all he has plus I don't alway agree with his take on Bond.
Logan no never no ...no NO!! P&W? also no no NEVER!!!! No!!
Btw the Craig quit story is viral now. So if not true someone better say something soon.
Yes, I certainly miss the days of the myriad of obvious Moore stuntmen in basically every Moore action scene.
Films in general just cost way more these days: inflation, larger bureaucracy, more middle men, various companies producing them that want a cut, etc. QoS and SP still had lots of on location shooting that isn't as cheap as it was during the '60's and '70's. Some of the older films also kept to one major location (DN, FRWL, TB, YOLT, OHMSS, LaLD, etc.) so it was easier to keep costs down that way. That changed around the times of TMWTGG, TSWLM for sure.
I feel Craig has one more in him; 5 is a nice, round number of entries for any Bond.
I don't feel the Craig era has used locations particarly well, sadly. One exception might be Venice in CR.
Understatement ahoy!
The Daily Mail is poisonous, hateful and nothing you read on it can be believed.
That's not to say that this story is false, of course.... just that it being on that vile publication means nothing.
I bet The Daily Mail would closed down if blame itself for it's rumours.
And Haiti in QOS.
Why is that?
My one request is that we never see the return of screenwriters Purvis and Wade. It baffles me why EON continue to employ these guys, and I can only presume that they must be in possession of some compromising photographs.
Purvis and Wade have demonstrated that they've got a tin ear for comedy, with limp puns such as 'edifice complex', and the same tired ideas keep recurring in their films...
1) Bond is injured in a way in which his fitness to serve is questioned.
2) Bond falls out of favour with MI6/is no longer trusted/goes rogue.
3) Either MI6 or M are targeted by the villain, with the building blown up and M either kidnapped or in mortal danger.
4) The villain has some past connection with M, MI6 or Bond.
Casino Royale was a breath of fresh air when it arrived, setting up the potential for a classic run of Bond films, but that promise was squandered with its sequels.
As a result, I tend to side with the idea of a whole new team, from the actor playing Bond himself through to the screenwriters and the director.

Well said!
Did Eon Actualy Want to piss Off Bond Fans ... again ?
It take 2 years before Brosnan was official Bond off, but in 2 yeas before that it al start with media no longer suport him. Because i don't whant to make same mistake as then, i wil say i feel need to have another Daniel Craig Bond movie and not inspecialy for pleasure.
The whole film centers on the struggles they have running it.
and
together would surely make for a fascinating movie experience. :)
