Dammit! This is awful. I was really looking forward to a Boyle directed Bond.
    Time to bring back Mendes.

Perhaps the pesky Russians hacked the official 007 twitter? If not, that's a mite surprising.

So “ movie gold” was apparently “cinema crap.”

Aaaaaand goodbye 2019 release date :(

Wow! Was it the script? The tone? You'd think creative differences would have been sorted out long ago!

They have created the announcement page, but for some reason haven't shared it yet (no extra info though): http://www.007.com/bond-25-announcement-3/

Everything is in jeopardy right now. If Boyle is out, Hodge is out. If Hodge is out.... no script!!?? Maybe they'll rush to get a director and put Purvis and Wade's draft into play.

Folks, you'll forgive me if I'm a little slow on the uptake, but this is a joke, right?

If not, perhaps these guys should just close up shop and go home. It's becoming beyond a farce at this point.

When I said hopefully we’ll be getting news soon, this is not the kind of news I was looking for.

Is it still possible they use the Hodge script with a new director? Probably not right?

And like that, quicker than a Thanos finger snap my excitement levels just nose dived.

    that's pretty shocking.

back to the Purvis and Wade YOLT script?

would love to know what Boyle had proposed.

There has to be a possibility now that we don't get a 5th Craig film I reckon.

If this isn't a joke, then I think it was somewhat inevitable, no? There has always been something about this Boyle thing that didn't quite smell right, especially with his very busy schedule.

If it doesn't have Swann in it, then sure.

Has this happened before? That a director has been confirmed and then dropped out?

I doubt it. it would be very unprofessional.

Interesting how it's worded. It doesn't say by mutual consent, it says Boyle decided to leave. That does suggest the perceived issue was on the directors side and not theirs

    Talk about development hell.

So let's review the possible outcomes:

Outcome #1: EON resorts to the Purvis & Wade draft and scrambles to hire a new director (possibly Yann Demange?) to meet 2019 release date

Outcome #2: Bond 25 is delayed until 2020 while EON/Craig sort out the script and director

Outcome #3: Daniel Craig backs out of the project, the series is put on hiatus until the next actor is cast.
