    Looking at IMDB:

Pihla Viitala (Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters (mid 30s, attractive, femme fatale material?))

    Jouko Ahola (henchamn type)

Vera Jordanova (don't know anything she's done, 43, attractive def. femme fatale)

    Samuel Vauramo (villanous type)

Jasper Pääkkönen (don't know him, definite crazy-henchman vibe)

Laura Birn (late 30s, A Walk Amongst the Tombstones, GF material?)

There are a lot of Finns in the film world with great looks... But I see more of them as being villainous than allies...

According to this article, Debbie McWilliams is holding casting sessions with both male and female actors from Finland, represented by talent agency Actors in Scandinavia.

Interesting. What Finnish actors and actresses do we know of? I can only think of Renny Harlin at the moment.

Is he an actor as well? Thought he was just a director, writer, producer.

@Torgeirtrap -- I've never seen it!! What a great cast (including Spectre Agent Kronsteen, Vladek Sheybal)! I'm going to have to track this down!

He has a few acting credits, according to IMDb.

Edit: Maybe HE'S the one EON should get? Direct B25, write it, co-produce it and play the villain?

Not as good as the previous two Harry Palmer films, but definitely worth the watch. It's a enjoyable entry in the Harry Palmer series. Françoise Dorléac could have been a good Bond girl, I think.

I've only seen the Ipcress File... (great film)...

Looking at pics of Finland and its capital city, Helsinki, and wow, what a great setting for some Bond action... Checkout this "rock Church"... Imagine a secret meeting and a murder of an ally in this place...

(I immediately got the FRWL soundtrack in my head...)

The Ipcress File is one of my all-time favourite films. Absolutely love it. Funeral in Berlin is also worth a watch. The 90's films are more forgettable (although I'm planning a rewatch of them soon). The two 90's films also features Jason Connery!

An uncle of mine has travelled to Finland more than a few times, and he says it's a great place to visit, and very overlooked as a tourist destination. I think Finland could be a great place to shoot scenes for Bond 25.

I am all for Bond in Finland. He has never been there, except in ICEBRAKER, which doesn t count.

All this crap about Craig being difficult to work with is a joke. Is the right word to call this trolling? I would love the rumoured cliffhanger ending to be true. Is he dead etc as in the FRWL novel. Then either Craig comes back for B26 or new actor with plastic surgery as was once rumoured for the Connery/ Lazenby transition. Russia as the villains are fine. Maori henchman? No thanks. These guys must be tired of being stereo typed. What about bisexual assassins? . Not been done yet. Blofeld arc needs completing in the Craig era. Maybe ignore any potential "Irma Bunt" is Bonds auntie storyline!

Ugh. No to your plastic surgery idea. Not only is it cheap, tacky and reeks of soap opera but its also an insult to the next actor as they would technically still be Craig’s Bond, albeit with a new face. Hardly ideal for a new actor to forge his own identity in the role.

I would like to see Icebreaker get adapted into a movie. Based on the general storyline, that I have read, (I have yet to read the book), it feels like great movie material. Make some minor changes, that's all.

It not it’s really not I have yet to seen proof Gardner can write a decent bond film let alone a good one

I was talking about EON doing it, with blessings from his estate and IFP.

Makes me think of Billion Dollar Brain with Michael Caine.

Finnish Winter locations look wonderful in that film.

They really do. It will be interesting to see if the potential casting of a Finnish actor/actress can have a correlation with Finland as a possible filming location/setting.

sad thing is if they'd had their act together they easily could have made 2 films between 2015 and 2019

What's even sadder is we could have had 4 movies from 2012 to 2018.

I'm happy if part of it is filmed there, yes.

Sadly, I don’t expect production to become any quicker with Craig gone. It’s possible, but not probable IMO. It will probably be 3-5 years for most of the films now.

Even sadder is that in terms of time, the 6 year gap marked the half way point of the franchise. Until then we had 16 films. Since then only 8.

Ouch. I hadn’t thought about it that way.

It would be hilarious if most of the potential hencman's dialogue would be in finnish, spoken by an actual finn.

In movies, most of the times it's just made up gibberish.

For Fleming's sake, Craig is not gone! The new actual possible news topic Finland. Finland, folks.

I’d like to see it happen, especially with it being a new location for the series. Time will tell I suppose!

I love snow scenes, so yes - I'd like Finland, Croatia, New Zealand, and Japan (even if brief - but oh so expensive to film in Japan, I think).

In Skyfall, Silva's henchman speaks his native language in a deserted island scene. Albeit it's just one short simple sentence.
