Yes, no more than 3 memorable minutes in the film would suffice.
Not with the movie star power that Ralph Fiennes has.
I remember Skyfall.
Exactly. Fiennes getting his schedule filled is good News, suggesting a smaller role for M in Bond 25.
Gotta love the British way of speaking. To believe one is under contract…. :-))
Why? Hardly anyone on this production confirmed anything. It seems to be the new Policy.
TMWTGG is in my top 10, SP is at the very bottom next to QOS and DAD.
+1
However, let's look at it another way: why wouldn't they just confirm it when asked, as opposed to talking about being on contract and what not? It's not like it's a real topic of conversation anywhere, as these are bit characters (despite their excessive involvement in the last film). There's no real marketing advantage to holding back anything for the respective actor or for the producer, as this isn't like 2011 when they were pretending Harris wasn't MP or Whishaw wasn't Q.

I think Fiennes is terrific as M.
I enjoyed Mallory a lot in SF – he was ever so slightly dubious but really won my affection by the end. I thought he was a little one note in SP.
I think his scenes with Judi Dench in SF were terrific, but everything felt a bit drab and repetitive with Andrew Scott.
Remember, it was Baz who broke the news that Fiennes would star in SF back in 2011.
I’d be disappointed if the Craig era meant we lost this MI6 team. I’m a big fan of the stuff that Whishaw, Harris and Fiennes have done together.
I agree with that, though it certainly didn't help that the scenes with Scott were incredibly ham-fisted. Very hard for even a talented actor like Fiennes to make something interesting out of such bland sign-posting and exposition, though he gave it a good crack of the whip.
"Cocky little bastard, aren't you?"
Scott is also a talented dude but unfortunately they gave him nothing to work with - a very subdued version of his Moriarty, complete with hums and eyerolls.
Anyway, I digress. Yes, I like Fiennes a lot as M and I appreciate the begrudging respect that his M has for Bond. It gives his scenes with Craig a little extra spark. I do hope he comes back and stays on beyond Bond 25, however unlikely that may be.
It's not confirmation but if Baz is saying its expected, can we safely assume that Fiennes also expects to be in the film. In recent weeks Baz has reported about Fiennes a few times leading me to believe he has spoken with him in that last month.
I wholeheartedly agree with this too. Except that GE was an improvement on LTK in every way, as was SF on QOS. Other than that, wholeheartedly. ;)
Really, though, Eon; go the Shatterhand route, call it Shatterhand and properly deliver Shatterhand.
Totally agree SG,and make it a standalone film, mission based and no emotional baggage, one to rival any of Craig's others, and one that can genuinely lay a claim that its the best of his tenure.
Agreed
Amen to that !!
Less than ten percent.

Wright really seems to be teasing something. No confirmations, but certainly interesting how he phrases everything.
