I hope they keep it secret for the period between Bond25 &26, so we get some news in a news poor period.
Hercula Poirota
Sherlocka Holmes
Jane Bond
Harriet Potter
Harriet Palmer (would actually love to see that one ;)
Jackeline Ryan
Jane Bourne
Doctor Jekyll, Miss Hyde (yes, this one would be lovely too)
Indiana Janet (this one worked, they just made a Lara Croft - that's the way to go)
...
You get the gist
No, no, this cultural appropriation nonsense has to stop. What? Dickens shouldn't have written about orphans because he wasn't one? Spielberg shouldn't have directed The colour Purple because he's not black? Agatha Christie shouldn't have written Poirot because she wasn't a man? Or a Belgian? This cultural appropriation business sits in the same alley as these examples. Can we all stop being overthrown by the political correctness dictatorship, please? No, no, Pierce2Daniel, you're too intelligent to find yourself in that uncomfortable position. And I'm sure you'll quickly reconsider. Cheers mate.
+10 !!!
Agreed. +1 from me.

ahaha, that's just plain awesome. And what a sister that must have been, Martine Beswick no less. Must get my hands on that.
Great Hammer film as well. You can do no wrong with Martine Beswick and Ralph Bates.

Except Terence Young.
That is quite a super constellation!

Considering it was only ever Megan Ellison's hobby, she's done extraordinarily well. The actual quality output of Annapurna is absolutely brilliant. However, boneheaded decisions such as appointing your friend as President will naturally sink your business venture.
I can't imagine Bond 25 will continue in their hands.
Good lord. How many more obstacles will Bond 25 face before it even starts production?!
Here is a very good article concerning Annapurna’s current financial woes.
Essentially, the studio has been overspending for years on projects. Ellison would often take on films that were deemed financially too risky for studios. She would then overspend on them and her attempts to become a fully-fledged studio (with distribution capacity) has since faltered. Also, Ellison’s father is refusing to bail her out.
Bond 25 is seen as a possible silver lining for the flagging company....
Personally, I stand by Annapurna, despite these concerns. They are cool and edgy (though, that is hardly a business model). They produce fantastic films, alongside equally great indie outfits like A24.
Bond 25 will be a guaranteed hit for them, and possibly a perfect example of a project worth overspending on. Especially if you get a $300m yield domestically.
I think the best thing that happened to B25 is the move to one global release date of Valentine's Day 2020, because the power of Universal's global marketing prowess will most likely filter back stateside via media channels and assist the film. $300m domestic is very optimistic given Bond's track record however. The film will have to exceptional to achieve that result.
