I'm reminded of a classic Columbo episode on the topic of subliminal cuts.

Wonderful episode, and certainly better than the explanation Brad Pitt gave in Fight Club about subliminal imagery.

Surely Christmas came early and twice this year. Not only do we know that Seydoux is back, but Scooby too.

Scooby Gang driving into Christmas and Bond 25 production like…

Naomie Harris has confirmed her involvement in Bond 25 in an Instagram post she posted today.

So I think of Fiennes M as being Fred, Moneypenny as Wilma, and without a doubt, Ben as Shaggy .

    Scooby, Shaggy, Wilma and Fred.
Perhaps they will introduce Scrappy this time? The protege?

Know that sensation you just got presents but they're not exactly to your taste? ;)
Only too well my friend. As in that situation. I'm just going to smile and bear it. It's the thought that counts. ;)

So, all the gang is back. Strange, but I can't say I'm over the moon. I hope they give them the same exposure as the car or the watch. Close to none.
  • I like Harris as MP so I'm glad she's back. Just hope no more opening fridges in action scenes.

It's strange to see how much more varied some opinions can be when one looks outside this forum. Even in conversations that I've had with other fans, the return of Scooby Gang™ isn't as unanimously dreaded as people think.

I'm sure once filming commences and the set photos of Harris and Whishaw on location pour in, people will (as always), suddenly forget why they were so frustrated in the first place. Same goes for all those who cheered with glee when Craig announced he was coming back for 25 suddenly no longer want him near the role. They'll all be back on board once things kick off in March and everyone is excited. Happens every time.

If one thing is certain about Bond fans, it's that they have absolutely no idea what they want out of the franchise.

Well put. The negative frenzy will diminish. it always does. It is an ebb and flow.

You're quite correct. It's the nature of a dedicated fan site. Opinions are more concentrated and entrenched due to the passion and enthusiasm of the fans.

Most of us are just having a laugh to pass the time anyway, in the spirit of the season and all. Pass the eggnog.

Btw, here is Harris' Instagram post confirming her involvement:

She starts filming her cop thriller in New Orleans in January, then straight into B25 filming.

So far, Harris and Fiennes are the only regulars to have confirmed their involvement. The whole Whishaw thing is a bit shady but I reckon he'll be back.

Couldn't find it, but he announced it (along with his involvement in Kingsman 3) to a Q&A audience at the Euro Film Awards, to which he recieved a standing ovation.

Thank you, Jake. I still don’t know how to post pictures on here properly.

If that cut quote from Whishaw (ostensibly from the Graham Norton show) is taken at face value, then he has also confirmed his involvement. He reportedly said something like "so I'm told", and presumably that came from his agent.

It's definitely not in the episode, but I know that there are cuts made before airing, so it's more likely than not.

I assune its only a matter of time until Waltz is confirmed and the show can finally get on the road. Its been a long time coming, but things are finally moving, and within a matter of months we'll have daily set photos and leaks coming out of our ears! We made it through the dark times and emerged the other side! Hurrah.

Bond 25 will be the first Bond movie EVER to include a Moneypenny performance by an Academy Award nominated actresss. Naomie Harris got nominated for an Oscar since the last time she played Moneypenny.

Good news! Glad to have the team back!

Hopefully they give us a Christmas present and reveal something juicy.
If there is any decency left in them they will reveal something small as a Christmas present for us Bond fans. We deserve it after this tumultuous year.
    A Danny Boyle documentary. ;)

I wouldn't want them to do a rush job on that. They would need to find the right kind of director to take the reins. Hmm. What's Danny Boyle doing?

We are still about 10 weeks away from the press conference, but here is a question related to it: What is your nr. 1 quetsion you want answered during the press confrence? What I really want to know is whether Boyle's movie gold idea is still the basis of the movie or not.

Good question of yours. I would like to hear if Waltz and Wright are coming back. I want this to be a Dark Knight Rises type of film. That way Craig can be more different than the average James Bond.

I'd ask about the tone of the film, and how (much) it will fit in the Craig era.

I'd be curious if it's a direct continuation from SP (something I do not want) or not.

I certainly wouldn't want a direct continuation. I'd imagine there would be at least a two year time jump as the characters will have visibly aged since SP.

It would be a strange decision to bring Seydoux back if it wasn't. Unless she only has a cameo in a flashback or recording, kinda like Dench in SP. Maybe it's not entirely standalone but not entirely a continuation either, sort of a halfway house.

Perhaps it'll be something along the lines of MI Fallout, continuation-wise.

I agree. Perhaps longer in movie years.

I'd prefer if they have Seydoux only in flashbacks ideally. Failing that, I'd want her either at the end or in the beginning (PTS or direct post-PTS when Bond is called back in). If they can keep it like how Monaghan was handled in MI: GP (not Fallout) that would be perfect. My appreciation for Seydoux increases when she's not talking.
