@Shardlake : the caption say DC is hosting the lunch to honour Green Book. If history repeats itself, then isn't this where DC gets a little drunk and offers a role to someone like Viggo?

Don't lose hope yet, my man.

And, yeah, DC is looking ready to kick some ass. I never thought he'd be able to do it!

    (sarc)

Who knows, Viggo would be so good as a villain, chilling and charming in one package.

DC as you say is looking fantastic.

What about having Bond having a brother gone rogue? Or Bond finds his parents are still alive? Also I want a Q spin off film. And I want a Trump less US of A. Guess which is the more likely scenario. I'm a stiff assed Brit BTW in the words of Jack Wade.

    Again with the politics dude.

TO THE MODS: Sorry for my political comment before - I know it is not the place for such a statement and I will refrain from doing it.

Anyway...here is a better photo of Craig with Viggo from last night.

Those two should be a henchman duo in a Bond film. Classy and intimidating.

Did they use Vesper's smartphone from Casino Royale to shoot the pic?

Craig look great. I really don't think he has changed dramatically since 2006. Not like Roger or Sean by their final outings. Or even Pierce.

I believe this is from the same event as the Green Book party

I actually agree with those who said DC looks better now than in CR. More chiseled and greyish.

I'm quite surprised we haven't more casting rumour reports, even with the director delay. I thought we would at least have some solid Bond girl rumours. seeing as we're over a month away from filming. Lea Seydoux was confirmed and Monica Bellucci was at least rumoured at this point.

It’s the same camera they use for UFO sightings.

Even I admit that craig looks old now. As much as I would want for him to continue forever this will/ should be his last. Yet people actually are claiming that he looks better than in cr...

Not to sound creepy but I’m going to NYC at the end of the month. Does anyone know where Daniel Craig frequents for dinner/drinks?

Given that he and Rachel recently had a baby and that he is training for Bond, you might not see them out much over the next two months.

They recently moved to Brooklyn, in the Cobble Hill area. But I researched recent photos of him in his gym clothes, walking the streets. He tends to be out and about to/from the gym. Here's the most recent photo:

This pic shows a Chase Bank in background. A quick search has found that this is likely the Chase Bank at 10th ST and 2nd Ave in the East Village:

Based on that location, it's reasonable to assume that DC works out at Equinox in Soho, 69 Prince St, or Definitions at 19 Union Square, possibly where he has always worked out, and the move to Brooklyn hasn't changed that routine. Older photos show him in gym clothes on St. Mark's St. That is also in that neighborhood. (Craig and Weisz lived in Soho.)

My guess: We are seeing him in the above photo as he takes a long walk to the Delancey subway station that will take him back to Brooklyn.

If you're in NYC, I'd stake out the gym location or the subway station.

    Good luck.

Looking back at the first few pages of this thread, it's always fun to remember the most pessimistic of today were also the most optimistic of yesterday.

Maybe it’s just me but I’m not seeing the pictures that everyone else is seeing of Craig. I see a genuinely “old” and a bit haggered looking Craig. Now sure he looks much better than he did 5 months ago, due to probably getting back in shape for the role however, all you guys saying he looks better than ever, I just dunno- he doesn’t look terrible persay but he isn’t anything to go gaga over for me at least.

He's 50 years old now. Doesn't matter if he gets even more muscular than in CR, he'll never look 38 years old again as he did in that film. Not everyone can age as gracefully as Tom Cruise, but even Mr. Cruise himself does not look as youthful in the latest Mission Impossible than he did in the original 1996 outing. As far as regular 50 years old guys are concerned, Craig looks mighty fine for his age. He's no Keanu Reeves, but he's also far above Johnny Depp.

The thing for me is that Craig's looks suits a bit of aging more than any of the other Bond's. He will look like a seasoned agent in B25, but he will still be credible as an agent. (Unlike grandpa Bond in OP and AVTAK...) He was never a 'pretty boy'. His appeal is in his masculinity and that is not hurt so much by age. And as he takes physical preperation very seriously, he will not look out of shape as Connery and Pierce did in their last outings.

I agree with both of you. I don't think he looks anywhere as good as he did in CR but he looks reasonable for his age and will be credible in the role due to his commitment to being physically fit. I certainly think he looks better now than he did during SP (both in the film itself and during the press tour). A lot of this will come down to acting, stunts & fight choreography as well. If they have a few decent ones in the film, then it will make him seem younger and people will be less likely to care what he looks like. Additionally, if age and the passage of time are acknowledged in the film (likely), then it will also be less of a problem. Ironically, the furor about his looks at last year's BAFTA's may have been a godsend, because he can only look better than that (expectations are sufficiently low).

I liked grandpa Bond (although the bounds of credibility were increasingly stretched in AVTAK, physicality was never a major element of his portrayal) and think that Connery was in excellent shape in his last (unofficial) outing, but otherwise agree with you.
