This. It's inevitable, I just hope that they manage to sincerely dial back on any homages/"rip-offs" and keep this next one as exciting and original as possible.
He's a midget.
Erm... this treatment?
No, he's not. She runs EON.
Walt Disney. They'll put his severed head on a new, more muscular body, de-age him, then reanimate him and put him in a tuxedo. Simple as that, really.
And the finale of the film will see Walt Bond facing a bunch of animated foes in combat, à la Roger Rabbit. And Mickey Mouse will appear in the opening title sequence, obviously.
EON doesn't hire American directors
EoN hasn't ..doesn't mean they wouldn't ever. An American director can do fine with Bond. Prefer the actor to be British but the right director doesn't matter.
Don't know. I think writing can do wonders. And one can easily reduce the amount of continuity. Or, at least, keep some continuity in place by letting a new actor be part of the same continuity that started with "Casino Royale". Just lower down the amount of continuity be only making some short references to Craig's era of films. Very much like they did in TSWLM and FYEO (shortly referencing Tracy).
Also, I think this would be much fresher and different from, let's say, Marvel and DC Comics. There used to be a time in Bond history when continuity. I'm quite against another full reboot to be honest. DC Comics is doing that. Let Bond do it a bit differently.
With SP it almost seemed like Mendes was sitting in for Wilson, at least at the press conference (I realize that Wilson was ill). He had quite a bit of involvement and control on this last film it seemed....more so than other directors.
The producers pretty much gave Mendes the world for Spectre. They did everything to get him back
P&W were interviewed, but didn't have quite the right qualifications. "Sorry boys, there's been a mix up - we'd heard you'd been dealing in sh1t for a number of years now..."
Given the script problems they probably should have given Mendes and Craig full rein to make the Bond film they wanted. I can't imagine Mendes being much pleased with the script he had to work from.
I am sorry are we still blaming the scriptwriters?- Blame Mendes he had a bloody carte Blanche after SF and he and his responsibility cocked it up royally in my humble opinion.
