Very constructive feedback that definitely put an end to the terrible discussion. I salute your bravery, fellow comrade.
I’m stoked about Bond 25 and have read nothing that legitimately should cause concern .
I think it's just you and me both.
Me three :D
How so, exactly? Because a reporter who previously had no Bond-related scoops starts a rumour about B25 that although it neither has merit nor traction, you fully support it and believe that you’re right in beling against Barbara Broccoli because of it? Patience is a virtue, my friend. Bond 25 starts production in a little over a month and the train will continue rolling.
- "James Bond is just a code name, isn´t it? It is not his actual name?"
Seriously guys? Is this guy supposed to be an athorouty on Bond topics?
Well, now we know where his ridiculous concoction of an idea that Henry Cavill could be introduced as the next Bond within Craig´s last film comes from ;))
Continuously proven right? I can’t think of anyone here who fits that description.
Oh, and if I were you I would steer clear of Colonel Sanders .
I'm with you on that too. I tend to come on here when the title .card changes only. But you have to wade through all this other stuff.
This thread needs a good editor...is John Glen around,
Is 2064 more to your liking
+ 1
There is so much hot air in this thread from people with nothing better to do, life obviously evades them.
In other words, I know it's wrong to feed the squirrels. But they're just so silly, aren't they. Just look at them. Silly sods.
Same here. Best is to stay away and check page 1 of this thread every couple of days for the real news.
And also: I have stopped reading so many posts after the words: "Bring back ..."
There’s some speculation that it was Solo. I suspect this is just another example of Film Twitter obsessing over Star Wars. But surely this is actually Bond 25? Apparently, the release date was moved and this stopped Soderbergh.
After all, he worked with Craig recently.
I’ll need to listen to the Podcast to see if this is in relation to Boyle – or Fukunaga’s suspected departure.

Things are getting as circular as the nietzschean notion of eternal return around here. We're just dogs around their own tails by days end. Kites waiting for the wind and speaking of storms to pass the time.
From what I understand from speaking to people within the industry:
☛ Eon are unique as they essentially operate as an independent production company with minimal ties to a studio.
☛ When news leaks about other big productions, it's often because studios are big and cumbersome with news disseminating from the top and the bottom. So when it comes to Variety/Deadline - it's been sanctioned for release from the top. When news leaks from the bottom it goes to gossip blogs.
☛ Eon don't necessarily run a tight ship - but they run a very small operation.
☛ All deals go through Eon and the studio don't really have a huge say in casting or even marketing. They do have a voice though, just not as loud.
☛ Also, Eon are primarily British-based and avoid the influence of Hollywood. They are just outside their glare. Therefore, the big agencies trying to leak client names is avoided.
☛ Eon have a few 'preferred outlets' and individuals. Primarily, this is Baz and Mike Fleming (Deadline). If Bond news leaks from others (eg; Justin Kroll at Variety) - it's them doing the digging and the work. The two mentioned are in cahoots with Eon (to an extent). For example, if Baz has a scoop that the villain deal is about to close - Eon may get in touch and ask him to refrain from reporting till a particular time, etc.
Some sign of life would be great for Bond 25 - currently things seem a little silent. The last piece of news we got was 2 months ago when Baz confirmed Lea Seydoux's return. Aside from Rami Malek there have been NO new names attached. Very unusual for a Bond production...
Hence the justified concern of many on this forum. But we’re wrong for panicking I suppose.
Wouldn't mind Soderbergh for Bond 26.
I suspect Soderbergh was talking about Solo as well, but it still surprises me because I thought he was done with big studio films. Moreover, a big budget fx laden sci-fi film like that seems less up his alley than a spy thriller, imho. So who knows.
John Glen? Are you sure you don't mean Marc Forster? ;)
It's been stated a few times already, but all that you need of substance is on page one. @jake24 diligently updates it as soon as anything newsworthy is posted. If you choose to wade into the detail, then expect some digression, to put it mildly.
Getting very excited now. Bond 25 begins production next month!
My feelings exactly. And I'm actually crossing my fingers and hoping for no news at all. I want to be caught by surprise for a change. In other productions, I usually know the cast, crew, sometimes I had read the script already. And it had some fun to it, but in other aspects, it took the fun away. I hope they keep a tight lid on everything. No leaks, please. No info. None at all. Please!
