Emma stone is riding high like Malik due to The Favourite . Her casting would be very timely, and make Bond 25 feel "of the moment". Brilliant, I say.
  • Dakota Johnson is a big ole jar of meh. B grade. Those doe eyes don’t belong in Bond.

Emma Stone is a good actress but her quirky, wholesome appeal is not suited to Bond at all IMO.

Be surprised if either got a gig.

Did anyone notice how chummy Daniel and Emma were during the Golden Globes?

Maybe he got drunk again and asked her if she wanted to be in Bond 25.

The issue is I think this is where the rumour stems from. She just recently worked with his wife, so of course people are going to link her to James Bond.

Emma Stone is excellent. And anyone who has seen The Favourite will know she can do a decent English accent. Dakota Fanning is also not a bad actress but frankly I don't really see either of them in B25. With Lea Seydoux already expected to return, this seems like far too many 20/30 year old female characters. I am not generally a fan of American actresses in Bond (Barbara Bach being an exception) but wouldn't object to either. Just seems unlikely.

    American actres i sugest before

    https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0001091/ Patti D'Arbanville, 67 years old (1951)
    https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0005034/ Amy Hunter, 52 years old (1966)
    https://m.imdb.com/name/nm1293475/ Jennifer Lothrop, 44 years old (1974)
    https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0250743/ Susan Egan, 48 years old (1970)
    https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0005447/ Leelee Sobieski, 35 years old (1983)
    https://m.imdb.com/name/nm3037833/ Eloise Mumford, 32 years old (1986)
    https://m.imdb.com/name/nm3006818/ Analeigh Tipton, 30 years old (1988)

I also like to see more older ones, but even have sugestion born in 1991, before she get more fame Shailene Woodley https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0940362/

And then we have my quantum leader sugestion include Catherine Zeta-Jones (Uk born, but more American in my opnion), Andie MacDowell (1958) and Jane Fonda (1937).

Of course i think further then only lead Bondgirls.

I would love to see Shailene Woodley in a bond film, Lovely girl but she is too young may be suitable for next bond.

I have to say I can't wait to stop calling this film BOND 25! I'm really hoping they will end our suffering by announcing the title by the end of the month. By the way, filming will begin in just 29 days!!

I haven't heard of some of these actors before, and so can't really comment. Leelee Sobieski has been very low profile lately - I remember when she was everywhere for a while.

Matera is interesting, as some have already said was used in the Passion of The Christ as a stand in for Jerusalem 2000 years ago.

I can say from experience there really is nowhere in Europe quite like it, when my Wife, her Mum and sister were on holiday in 2017 in southern Italy, Puglia this was on our schedule.

I don't mind saying it was the undoubted highlight of the holiday and while I think I've possibly seen enough of Puglia, Matera I would definitely return to, it's really quite stunning.

I would likely say it's doubling for somewhere else, could well be somewhere in the Middle East, I'll be very surprised if this is going to be Italy.

WOW! what with Jamaica and now Matera rumoured, as well as Norway and Cadiz could Bond 25 be the pinnacle of all Craig's films for locations?

    In Cary Fukunaga we trust!

Daniel and Rachel ARE in London. Production starts this Monday 4th of February with readings and rehearsals. Sets are ready at Pinewood. Maybe second unit could film there this very Wednesday.

Hopefully we will get a glimpse of DC at the BAFTAs.

Well I have a feeling they might be definitely not true. Dakota Johnson was spotted shopping in LA yesterday and Emma Stone was spotted filming Zombieland 2, so if the article that states rehearsals begin tomorrow is true, shouldn’t they be getting their arses to London?

But if Emma is filming Zombieland 2, is she going to have the time to go work on a James Bond film?

Maybe its best if they save her for Bond 26.

Sticking Elizabeth Taylor and Julie Andrews (both great), in Goldfinger would be stupid. 50 years later, nothing has changed.

True. I agree that big names can take you out of a Bond film. I don't think Fiennes as M was particularly helpful. He has too much baggage.

Exactly. And in SP we were forced to watch a whole sepearate storyline and climatic fight scene with M and C because Fiennes is a big name. M should only be brief support to Bond’s story (which got underdeveloped).

Don't know about Taylor (she could have been great if handled/directed properly) but Julie Andrews has no place in a Bond film, as lovely as she is. That's like asking for the fairy godmother from Cinderella to play M.

I agree with you. Part of the joy of watching a Bond film was getting to see an international cast you were unfamiliar with. You would get to know actors who are well known in their respective countries on a larger stage. Sometimes, you even got a complete unknown who got a chance at a star-making turn.

However, it's seriously difficult to not get excited at the notion of either Johnson or Stone joining.

In a world where Marvel casts are stacked to the hilt with A-list talent (I mean, just look at the Infinity War cast list!), it be remiss of Eon to not court big names.

Perhaps Stone is Bond's daughter - akin to Logan. I'm certain she's playing an English character after Eon saw The Favourite

The Bond franchise has matured a lot and now it's in a place where 1. they can afford hiring big names and 2. big names are happy to work on a Bond film.

Maturity often lends itself to big mistakes.

Emma Stone is probably enjoying the brightest period of her carrer right now. If they are going to use her, theres no better time. That being said, I wouldn't mind waiting for Bond 26 either, if it must be.

I for one find it very easy to not get excited about Stone or Johnson. For me, it introduces the same problem I have with the Marvel films. When I watch a Marvel film, I don’t see the characters, I see the actors in costumes.

The only reason I consider Suspiria and The Favourite exceptions from this, is because they’re both art house pictures, meaning it’s very easy to distance yourself from the actor but Bond 25 isn’t.

You're right about Marvel movies. Just look at Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson and in particular Chris Pratt for proof.
