I thought Canada was a rumored location as well.

Also, archivo007 is claiming that they have heard from their source in London that the press conference will be held at the end of THIS month. Not a huge shock, but nice to hear a semi-confirmation.
Is there a link? Can't seem to find this.

I think they're basing this off the part of the article below that says:

"The official press conference will arrive in the last two weeks of February."

Although I don't know how someone would know this information. Again, I understand these people knowing about locations, but I don't get the casting choices and announcement dates. Pure speculation me thinks.

    https://www.archivo007.com/index.php/noticias/bond-25/2831-arranca-bond-25-en-pinewood

NOT speculation. This came from our man in London and a source very close to EON. Of course, this was said in an informal conversation and "last weeks of February" could sound vague or even speculation from his/her part.

MY speculation is 28th of February ;)

If Johnson and Stone are cast I'm going to buy a hat and eat it.

If Johnson and Stone are cast I'm going to start calling Barbara Broccoli the great Barbara Broccoli!

Jamaica makes perfect sense. Bond 25 should tie up the prequel phase of the series. It'll then segue into Dr. No. That truly sets the slate clean for the next actor to take up the baton. We'll then have Dan Stevens or Aidan Turner for Bond 26!! I'd have liked Jamie Dornan, but 50 Shades Of Sh#t hurt his image too much. Exciting times!!!

Yes, and it makes sense to return to a more classical style of light heated adventure.

Its like "we learned Bond origin, now lets pick up where we left off post Die Another Day."

The idea of a tall dark handsome actor taking over with plenty of charming, presenting the finished article of Bond as we know him, is very appealing after they are done with Craig.

Dornan is in this new film with Ross Pike that's getting lots of good buzz so maybe he will redeem himself.

I've never been a fan of this 'seguing' technique. It causes too much suspension of disbelief for me. As an example, I rather cringed when they did this at the end of the SW prequels and again at the end of Rogue One.

Having said that, I suppose it could work if employed subtly. As an example. the SF ending was decent in the old office. To a degree I think they should have stuck with the more modern environment which they started in GE however, because that seems more in keeping with what I'd expect from MI6 today. The retro flavour seems a bit passe.

Well that would rule out Turner.

Just teasing a little bit ;-)

Lol! No offence taken. I'd love to see a more classic Bond era next time out. The familiar tropes, but with less journeyman directors. Imagine Denis Villeneuve directing a Bond movie with a man on a single mission narrative. Anyway, let's see this era out first. I'm buzzing!!

Considering his cast in Dune, I think he wants to direct a Bond movie.

He did say he'd love to work with Craig a couple of years ago. So, that's definitely a possibility... provided Craig stays after B25.

Our poster @Station_Z reached out to me and said he also received information on location scouts in Jamaica, but with a stunt coordinator towing along (my source only said location crew).

My speculation is that Jamaica (or a tropical resort like it) will have at least one action sequence they’re planning (a revenge-attack on one, retired, secret agent, James Bond? In the escape, like Tracy before her, is Maddy kidnapped?).

Remember to keep your eyes out for paparazzi shots of Malek, Johnson or Stone over the next couple of weeks. If they're not in London, they're not Bond 25... maybe.

Hurricane season starts on the 1st of June, so all filming in Jamaica has to be done by the end of May, right? It seems they will be filming in Italy in the first few weeks of April so I’m guessing filming in Jamaica will be done in late April / May.

Yep the article reported filming will start in Matera April 7. At least, if it happens.

P.S. Btw a little wind won’t stop the great BB.

DC is going to present at the Oscars. Expect him to be asked about B25 at the red carpet.

He generally skips the red carpet as not to take focus away from Rachel's film.

While true, he was also Rachel’s guest more or less. Here he’s presenting so it may be different.

Since the Oscars will be held less than a week before the press conference of Bond 25, I wouldn’t really mind being if Daniel avoided the red carpet and the questions.

Yes Bond 'retired' to Goldeneye with Seydoux is quite plausible.

Just thought I'd copy this part of an article to give people some reasons why it's very unlikely Stone and Johnson will appear.

"Before we proceed any further, we should note that this rumor’s a bit suspect in many ways. For one, it’s uncommon for the Bond films to land one major Hollywood actress let alone two in the same film, with the franchise generally preferring up-and-coming stars of different nationalities. What’s more, Stone and Johnson both have packed schedules already, as the former’s currently busy on Zombieland: Double Tap while Johnson’s about to star in The Friend with Casey Affleck."
