So perhaps location shooting begins in April, but studio work begins in March.
I think so too. The production team for Casino Royale did the same. They started shooting at Pinewood a month before they went on location.

    Nope. This is wrong.

CR began shooting 30 Jan 2006 at Barrandov Studios. They didn't begin filming at Pinewood till June 2006. After filming in Prague, the Bahamas and Venice.

Oh, well my mistake, I’m just going off what I heard from a behind the scenes documentary on the Blu-Ray.

Anyway, it doesn’t really matter, excited to hear more about Bond 25’s filming next month.

This article claims to detail exactly where Bond will visit in Italy.

interesting and if this is accurate it says the Italy shooting begins in April... which would make sense as the pinewood stuff would likely start in march. then production would move forward

I think they are only quoting what was on another paper last week

Besides, can we expect something today from 007 socials?

Well if I knew that a year from today I’d be getting another Connery or Moore type standalone movie then I’d be absolutely ecstatic! But seeing as how it’ll probably be another soap opera “continuity” personal mission I can’t be too excited. Bond films sure aren’t what they once were.

Yes. Agreed. Bond sucks. EoN Sucks. That's why I will stick around here a little longer to tell everyone why we shouldn't get excited for a new Bond film. PM me. Lets commiserate.
I know, but nothing we can do about it. Oh well. We still have our old classics that we can rewatch. They just don’t make ‘em like they used to. Same thing is true for TV today. Everything is in a sad decline.

Barring a delay, 1 year until Bond 25 is released. Maybe Baz will give us a little something tonight? I won't hold my breath on it anyway but it'd be nice. The press conference is likely in just a couple weeks now.

It makes me so happy that you all in England aren't getting the film two weeks before us in America

You're right, it would be really nice and it would make sense that we wouldn't get anything because EON like to control their stories and wait for the conference. If you remember Spectre, there were all these rumours regarding Waltz, Bellucci and Scott, but nothing was actually confirmed by anyone until the conference.

So I think we'll just have to wait till March. We'll definitely have something before April at least because of shooting on location, and they'd probably wanna get the cast announced before anyone gets spotted on set. Even on Skyfall, which was filmed mostly at Pinewood, we got shots of Bardem in his police uniform.

Eon do run a very tight ship.

But we live in a very click-baity world. All those individuals - such as Justin Kroll and Baz - want the attention because it means likes, follows and (most importantly) career progression. Following film news is just something we are interested in, for those people it's their job and they all want money.

If Baz has the scoop, he isn't going to sit on it and let someone else take the attention. I suspect the reason we haven't heard anything is twofold:

1.) Eon keep things so close to the vest that nothing can come out. This is true. The Sony leaks confirm that Seydoux and Waltz were on SP in June/July. but their names leaked in November.

2.) Eon haven't 100% made a decision on anything. So there is nothing to report currently.

Fair play, I just think from past experiences that it's very unlikely we're going to get something concrete until the conference, but I may be proven wrong. He may come out and tells us that Malek is going to be a villain, but I just really don't see it happening.

I will say that I really doubt that EoN haven't 100% made a decision on anything. With rehearsals underway, they've definitely got some stuff set. The only casting choices I think may have not been chosen are the Bond girls.

April 6 was already reported in the first article that mentioned Matera as a location, like weeks ago.

I’m hoping when we get some news, people will get excited because the current discussions seem very bitter and don’t seem to be going anywhere.

I'm frustrated that it's taking so long to get information, but I'm still very excited to find out more. I'm cautiously optimistic for the movie. I'm also hopeful that the mood will be a lot better soon.

    What a fantastic sequence.

It's so smoothly shot by Campbell - but it conveys a brilliant character and thematic point without being overbearing or hitting you over the head. Bond is killing real people. The family portrait is a subtle gesture which compliments the more potent shot of Bond's disgust after killing Fisher.

The opening three minutes of CR are perfect.

The opening three minutes of CR are perfect.

They are among my most vivid 'cinema memories' in that I can recount virtually all of it, every flick of emotion, hearing every sound effect for the first time, etc.

After years of (we forget, tumultuous) development leading up to CR, it was just the most amazing 3 minutes of relief and validation for those of us who believed it was heading in the right direction. 3 minutes of stylish, gripping, pure Bond unfolding onscreen in a way I'd never seen before. And such a precursor for the entire 2.5 hours that was to come.

Forgive the hyperbolic tone. But yes, the opening to that film is just about as perfect as a film's opening can be.

Sorry to post that here. Today my dad had to undergo surgery, they had to remove a tumour at the bladder. I was quite anxious the whole day, but apparently all went well. So now I can look forward to watch Bond 25 this very day next year. If that's too private and personal, the mods might delete it, of course

Just a small piece of news:

    - the tests that we saw on February 11th correspond to scenes related to “vehicles”, since Yves Girard is specialized in this type of action and it seems that he will be the coordinator of vehicle specialists in the film (not necessarily “cars”). Furthermore, these essays would be variations on a scene already prepared, in case in the filming set arise different alternatives and thus be able to offer them to the director and the director of the second unit.

    - In addition, the tests of the specialists would have begun at the beginning of January, which confirms that the filming start date is still on March 4th.

    - The secrecy in EON and the 007 Stage is impressive. Only those who work on the film with their corresponding identification enter the studio, there are security arcs, antenna inhibitors … It looks like Fort Knox! (Well, this we already knew…).

    - The most likely dates for the press conference to present the film at the 007 Stage, as happened with SPECTRE, would be: February 28th or March 8th. (I know, this is not much, but…)

She may be a little young but I think Lorde could create a pretty good Bond theme for B25 or B26.

We are in the hour now where Baz usually releases his exclusives - can someone reach out to him and ask? He hasn't responded to my last few. So maybe someone else who has had a recent response should try...
