The filming dates for Italy have not actually been confirmed by any trust-worthy source, so they've probably been delayed if the earlier report was true.

Hilarious @MI6 you could at least credit my earlier post. I wonder who else was your "source" on this. I posted this story in good faith on these boards only yesterday and now this?! If I hear back more at Pinewood, I'll be sure not to share it here.

Your journalistic skills are once again top-notch.

    What is the title?

I understand you have a friend at pinewood Reminder her who you are then pump her for information... you have to decide how much pumping to do

Daniel Craig to star in Todd Field’s The Creed of Violence

    http://collider.com/daniel-craig-todd-field-the-creed-of-violence/

Set in 1910 during the Mexican Revolution, The Creed of Violence follows an assassin named Rawbone (Craig) and a young government agent named John Lourdes as they travel from Texas to Mexico to stop a smuggling ring.

I’m a little surprised to see Craig immediately wants to tackle something else after Bond 25.

I'm not as to be fair, without doubt this will be DC's final outing as 007.

They can do a location shoot in Italy same time as filming actors in Pinewood, no?

It will be interesting to see if we get another Skyfall situation, where most of the filming was done at Pinewood.

It's unfortunate that you would choose not to share it and deny everyone else out of spite to the admins.

Interesting. He's worked on two Boyle projects. Wouldn't surprise me if he was a hired during his time as director.

Yeah, this could possible be from when Boyle was on board. A lot of the crew on iMDb for Bond 25 are based on old possible choices to join Danny Boyle, so this could be false, who knows?

I personally would rather they bring back Stuart Baird. He did a great job on Skyfall, and pretty much saved Rogue One in the editing room.

I'd prefer Baird as well. The editing for CR and SF is excellent.

Oh of course! I forgot he did Casino Royale :) Two of their most successful films edited by Baird, I think Eon know what they need to do haha...

Although I also looked back on his IMDb page, and Elliot Graham actually did some additional edits for Beasts of No Nation, so could Fukunaga have enjoyed working with him and brought him on for Bond 25?

    Didn't know that. It's possible.

Usually, the key collaborators for a director are the DoP and the editor. They are the two people he will work on a daily base with, during production, then post. Some directors even pick up a DoP who is as tall as themselves, so they can finalize camera setups with the same point of view.

So Elliot Graham has even more merit, although again he could've been part of the Boyle team. Do you know when editors are usually brought onto production @HildebrandRarity?

No idea. Remember that some films have editors doing their work even when filming is ongoing, while some other projects wait until principal photography is done to really start the editing process.

What about the way that chase scene was edited in QoS during the Tosca opera or how the camera was pointed downward toward the ground from a top-down viewpoint in Kazaan, Russia?

If Baird edited Casino Royal, then it's cool, because he was there when it was decided to show Bond waking up in the hospital to Vesper and Mathis (both allies who were questionable to him at some point). That was memorable.

The editing of SF is so much better than SP.

I agree. But with the exception of comparing Mr. Hinx with Patrice, Skyfall is better in every category.

Agreed. The only things better in SP are the henchman, the gunbarrel, and Craig's haircut.

I agree for the most part but there's some really dodgy editing during the PTS of SF, imo. That also has to do with some of Mendes' shot choices, especially as Bond uses the digger on the train.

I love the PTS in Skyall. So at least we have real news; the editor.
It's good Fukunaga has already worked with him a bit.

    I'd argue the PTS, too.

The films of Graham's that I've seen (Superman Returns, Milk, Steve Jobs) are very well cut IMO so that's a tick.

I too would have liked Baird back as he's the safest pair of hands in the business who isn't Paul Hirsch, but he's understandably winding down. Would be happy for Kate Baird to come back though, who obviously contributed significantly enough to be credited alongside... her father? Husband?

Well, the Spectre meeting leaps to mind...there was something so off about the pace in that scene, but really there's an editing problem throughout the film. (Maybe they didn't have the footage, although Mendes is known for shooting a LOT of footage--or maybe they couldn't get the script to work.)

A lot of the film feels like it's held a beat too long...e.g. Bond looks at the Spectre ring for what seems like an eternity when I'd rather have seen that beautiful shot of the helicopter over Mexico City.

I wish bond stayed in Austria longer.
