As long as it doesn't sound like the title of a 'The Man From U.N.C.L.E.' episode, I'll be happy :)

They just have to avoid the words "the" and "affair" to accomplish that.

I understand people’s trepidation with Shatterhand but I still think it’s the best of the unused Fleming stuff... but I’d also take Blood and Thunder as Craig’s final film as well.

With all this casting news update I am unexpectedly more gutted than excited with the possible news now that we have CIA involvement without Mr CIA himself Jeffrey Wright.

Property of a Lady would have been fine 5 years ago, but today I fear would garner a vocal negative response from the anti-SJW crowd.

I quite like Blood and Thunder myself.

    RESPECTRE.
The spectre-acular sequel to SPECTRE. This time it's personal.

Sources say that the title is a clever reference to not only the previous 007 extravaganza, but also to Rami Malik's character - a South London 'Gangsta', and his unquenchable thirst for R-E-S-P-E-C-T. "Are you dissin' me, bruv? You show some respectre, ai?".

Apparently, in anticipation of the film's reception, they are filming back-to-back with Bond 26, whose title I can also exclusively reveal today:

    DISRESPECTRE

Plus, In 2022, acclaimed British director, Christopher Nolan, will take up the Bond franchise, making Bond 27 a reboot set in 1960s:

    RETROSPECTRE

    Exciting.

With Cary Joji Fukunaga directing, it's pretty much guaranteed Bond 25 will have the best title since Casino Royale.

Skyfall was a damn good title!
As was Spectre to its credit.

Gotta give you credit for RETROSPECTRE. That'll be a great title for a behind-the-scenes documentary about the troubled production behind SP.

WHY is Daniel doing a stage reading in New York of all places just WEEKS before filming of Bond 25 begins? If I were the great Cary J Fukunaga I would tell him: “You either abandon this silly idea of doing non Bond work just WEEKS before we begin filming and you commit 100% to preparing for the role or you will have to find a new director. No ifs, ands or buts!”

It’s a one night gig. No biggie.

Seriously? It’s one night, and will have no interference with the schedule of the film.

@DonnyDB5 Hundreds of people are busting their bottoms to deliver the best Bond film posssible and Daniel wants to cruise over to NYC to do a stage reading for pleasure instead of preparing for his final Bond film?! I don’t think so!!

@PanchitoPistoles there you go again! Stirring up stupid rhetoric just because craig is doing a one night gig in NYC, This has zero affect on Bond 25 and you don't need to be getting people's gears grinding since we've had such positive vibes due to the great news coming our way! So don't even start!!

So you're telling me Daniel Craig should be learning his lines and training everyday for two months until filming begins? Or do you want him to jump in and build some sets? I'm confused. Wait, does he have a wife and two children? And a love for theatre? Hmmm...

My guess: Billy Magnussen’s character is a CIA agent working undercover infiltrating Rami Malek’s character’s organization. Initially, the film treats him as a potential henchman (think Felix Leiter in Thunderball), but it is revealed that he is working for the CIA and is partnered with Felix Leiter for this operation. He and Leiter end up assisting Bond in the finale.
So like a Holly Goodhead type, I like it.

    Harry Goodhead? :))

Do we really need to be giving more voice to someone looking to stir up drama here?
    Let’s all just move along.

I for one am very intrigued to see where they’re going with these casting developments!

Good call @TR007, so I've had some time to think about it, and I've decided I'm not too fond of the casting of Magnussen, if it ends up being finalised. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big believer in passing full judgements once you've seen the movie, but I base a lot of these choices on my own imagination, and I just can't see it.

I think he's a good actor, and definitely has the capabilities to prove me wrong, but I'm finding it very hard to imagine not only his place in the film, but imagining him alongside Craig and whoever else may cast. I was hoping he'd bring over Sonoya Mizuno from Maniac, but I guess at least I was right in thinking he was gonna try and get someone :)

Deadline: Lupita Nyong’o Atop Bond Girl Shortlist As Rami Malek Making Deal For 007 Villain

Kinda vulgar that Deadline are saying this is an 'exclusive' as Baz broke Lupita's name and Collider revealed Malek was closing his deal. Though Deadline is the most legitimate source of information of the three.

I've only seen Magnussen in Maniac, but thought he was ok, if a bit forgettable. Oh, and on Westworld. Again, a bit forgettable, but competent nonetheless.

Deadline backing that scoop up certainly is good but them not citing Baz and claiming it as their own exclusive is not (though with Malek Variety *did* mention that EON were still gunning for him first in the Magnussen report, and Collider then ran their own exclusive with 'final talks' minutes later). They're generally shoddy when it comes to crediting people but that's a whole different discussion...

I wouldn't be surprised if the other trades dig into this and get some more info as to which of the Bond girl roles she's up for and if talks actually happen

Well FWIW here's some more insight from Sneider regarding the ongoing Malek negotiation.

"Exclusive" doesn't necessarily mean that there are the first or the only website that talks about it. It can be that they have a direct source, and that their article was written without having to rely on anything Baz had published in the meantime.

By the way, "deadline" is an anagram for "Daniel de" (or "denial de").
