Daniel Craig, the director, cast and crew will be working on many projects, many events, many jobs and many commitments before, during and after the production of BOND 25. It is not a one gig only kind of industry.
Got to admit, I didn't know a lot about Malek but just on that short clip alone I hope he is the villain. He could pull off a menacing unnerving villain really well
I like your idea of two movies for Daniel Craig. In fact, it has been rumored that the producers try to convince Daniel Craig to shoot simultaneously "Bond 25" and "Bond 26". But usually when is back-to-back movies it realse a year later. So, Bond 25 2020 and Bond 26 2021.
But please stop thinking about Tom Hardy or another famous actor. The next James Bond will be a young and low profile actor.
;)
They could have given her a passing mention like Tiffany Case in FRWL.
Queen, classic movies, hand written letters, mischief, looking sharp regardless of the occasion.......the man has good taste. Bring on B25!
He says that one of the major tropes of his films is death of children. I can imagine him writing a scene or incorporating a character with either a child dying or a child killing someone. It would fit within the themes and ideas he is interested in as a filmmaker...
Haha nice try @PanchitoPistoles your rhetoric isn't going to work this time!
They have done similar things before though. I don't think they'll do a DAF, but if SP had been so controversial I doubt she would be returning. QOS only had a passing mention in SP after all. And it would have made far more sense to explain the Quantum and SPECTRE connection.
Also, history has told us that to just move on from it quickly or completely never really works. For example, some people aren't a fan of DAF because Tracy's death in OHMSS seemed to be a bit glossed over and had no emotional weight when it really should've done and some people aren't a fan of QoS because, while it had the emotional weight, it moved on from Vesper's death too quickly, with her "involvement" bookending the film. To be honest, I think continuity has kinda ruined the Craig era.
I understand your point about them still being successful and popular with general audiences, but I think it's quite telling that two most well-liked Bond films in Craig's era, by huge fans and general audiences, is Casino Royale or Skyfall. Both films are not tied down by continuity. The two most unpopular films in Craig's era are the ones that have been built on continuity and trying to tie up loose ends. Spectre even tried to tie up loose ends that didn't even exist, like Silva being part of SPECTRE. It was kind of unnecessary and I've personally retconned that, and still see Silva as a stand-alone villain.
Tying this into Bond 25, it'll be interesting to see how its handled, as they seem to be tying up loose ends but the casting of Malek as the villain seems to suggest that they're not going to try and tie up everything, like Blofeld etc. Like I said they have to include Madeleine because she was meant to be Bond's new love, and influenced him leaving the service, so I don't really think you can do one without the other, without completely undermining the film that came before. Either way, we'll see how it's handled because they could tie up loose ends while still knocking it out of the park, which would definitely be a first in my opinion.
Damn, I didn't mean to type for this long haha
Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I can remember, there hasn't been a scene with a child dying in a Bond film. Could be a bit extreme for Bond.
Wonderful exhibit, and a nice chance for fans to meet them. Wish I could be there!
I've had a look online and can find nothing.
I suspect that someone has their wires crossed here. I don't think anything is happening tomorrow in Covent Garden.
Agreed @Shardlake . I made a similar point a few pages ago. Bond villains are not traditionally physically imposing...they are creepy and insane.
I had forgotten about this? I was about to say seeing as filming was originally slated to start tomorrow? Did anyone think we might get any new official news about the new movie?
If this is going ahead as planned though? They are bound to get bombarded with questions about the new film!
