In my country it makes sense, films are released on Thursdays.
unless they release a press release - just to announce another delay lmao.
(Edit: it’s fake)
The Burial of Love
Pale cold his lips,
The light of his hopes unfed,
Mute his tongue,
His bow unstrung
With the tears he hath shed,
Backward drooping his graceful head.
Love is dead;
His last arrow sped;
He hath not another dart;
Go—carry him to his dark deathbed;
Bury him in the cold, cold heart—
Love is dead.
Oh, truest love! art thou forlorn,
And unrevenged? Thy pleasant wiles
Forgotten, and thine innocent joy?
Shall hollow-hearted apathy,
The cruellest form of perfect scorn,
With langour of most hateful smiles,
For ever write
In the weathered light
Of the tearless eye
An epitaph that all may spy?
No! sooner she herself shall die.
For her the showers shall not fall,
Nor the round sun that shineth to all;
Her light shall into darkness change;
For her the green grass shall not spring,
Nor the rivers flow, nor the sweet birds sing,
Till Love have his full revenge.
I only hide it behind spoiler tags because it has the working title in its first sentence. Funnily enough, there are other references to Bond in it (italics). I enjoy reference to poetry (or art in general) in Bond films, especially Tracy's recital "Thy dawn, O Master of the World, thy dawn; For thee the sunlight creeps across the lawn". Dramatic stuff. Maybe B25 gets some of its drama from this poem? A lost love, perhaps betrayal?
That would certainly make me appreciate the title more.
I believe it’s time to start getting used to this title. I don’t like it because it’s such a vague and overused word. One of the less creative titles I ever heard, speaking about Bond potential titles.
It is very likely P&W explored Tennyson's work while writing SF, and so it would make sense that they recalled this poem and its relevance to Craig's Bond - hence the working title. Whether it is the final title -well, we will soon know.
Great find @zebrafish ... But I will wait till official announcement before getting my hopes up.
My thoughts exactly. Everyone wants a 'true' Fleming title. Whatever the heck 'true' even means.
If they beginning filming, it doesn't mean they have to announce the title. I hope they do though as it's a tradition. Im sure they will, but they could do some secret filming without announcing it yet.
Guys, this is not the title. Like I say, it's out there to throw the public off from the real title. it wont be called it. It's not only rubbish, someone on the forum, I forgot who it was, said people will look into it trying to find a bond connection and try to make it make scene. It's going to be something entirely different.
Agreed. I highly doubt THAT is the title and even if it is what's the point in keeping it secret? Are we going to mark as a spoiler the fact that

Sorry Walecs, couldn't resist. Nic
So maybe 'Eclipse' is just a hint for us, and the actual title will be PERMISSION TO DIE?! :O
That's up to the mods old chap.
Can't wait to see which tabloid will first report this as actual news or confirmation.
BTW, that's a helluva Bond there, a spitting image of Hoagy Carmichael.
I must admit I'm starting to warm up to the possibility.
Once I clear Robert Pattinson and that franchise from my mind, I don't mind it as much.
It actually sounds more like something mystery author Robert B. Parker might have come up with for one of his SPENSER or JESSE STONE novels.
Still, at least it's not just called JAMES BOND.
Quite. Question is, how soon will we know? Filming starts in a couple of days and we know close to nothing. I say that's impressive.
But even if it is going to be the title, let's not forget that "Skyfall" is also a character from the GI Joe universe. I think we could handle a word that was also used in the Twilight saga.
Again, I doubt the next Bond film will be called Eclipse.
Bad comparison though, Dimi. GI Joe and Transformers are actually cool.
The assasination of James Bond by the coward Earnt Stavro Blofeld
