    @DarthDimi, thank you for your sane response. I've read your post a pages back and it was one of the best in these 2299 pages. I honestly thought the "ban" tirade was addressed to me, as some have mistaken my words of disgust for a certain member type of intervention for a request to ban said member. I never asked for that, btw. I, as many, just don't think his interventions are forum healthy, that's all. I don't engage him or even read him anymore.

    Now, back to Bond25, please ;) Almost at 2300 pages, this thread. Wow, isn't that something? :)

    Well said, and a great post a few pages back. As for Bond 25, I think we'll be getting some casting news in the week. Rumors really. But I think some old faces will return, that haven't been confirmed yet.

    When Bond 25 begins production and things get moving, all the naysayers will leave out of boredom. You know...

    I'm intrigued by who's going to be cast instead of Lupita. Maybe Danai Gurira?

    This thread was originally designed with the purpose of listing up all new developments regarding B25. If we don't allow such a thread, every single rumour online will soon get its own thread, and that's about the last thing we want.

    But we're not robots. We tend to respond emotionally to almost every rumour. Some ideas make us happy, some make us angry, but few leave us indifferent. So debates of all kinds are inevitable. But 'asinine discussions'? Check out the comments section for any youtube video and I promise that this forum will look positively sterile regarding outbursts of joy or negativity.

    I always regret people contemplating leaving. This is a discussion forum, not an encyclopedia. You come here, you know that you will meet all sorts of people who will interact with you, whether you appreciate their comments or not. No-one is forcing you to take the bait though. You don't like a comment, you ignore it, possibly flag it, and move on. It's what I do all the time. Sometimes I respond, most of the time I shrug and enter another discussion in another thread. But why would I kiss the forum goodbye?

    Sometime next year, B25 will have been released. Many of us--most of us--will have seen the movie at some point. (Some claim they won't; people who "know" it's going to be a disaster. Good for them! :D I honestly don't care.) If this thread is too much for some to handle, if we should have locked it long ago, what is going to happen next year? Because there will be lovers and haters, ardent supporters and aggressive bashers, those who praise and those who spit. We will have not one but at least four threads (one for spoilers, one for zero spoilers; one for positive comments, one for harsh criticism); and despite our best intentions and efforts, we will not be able to avoid "the other fraction" invading a thread not really designed for them. And I'm merely talking about the film. What about a thread for the theme song, a thread for the score, a thread for who-knows-what-else?

    What we want is for people to
    - stay calm;
    - know when to stay away from a thread for at least a day or two;
    - drop impressions, arguments, comments without attacking someone else;
    - accept that we will never universally share the same opinions.

    What we don't want is for people to
    - get emotional over someone else's remarks;
    - demand a thread being locked or a member being banned simply because they allow others to crawl under their skin;
    - assume that all contradicting opinions, especially the ones repeatedly stated, are meant to hurt, upset or infuriate them, even if that's actually the case, because then the fights begin;
    - presume that the mods will automatically support the "positive" troublemakers much more than the bashers. Troublemakers are troublemakers, and even our own, individual opinions about the film, will not result in one fraction getting away with things much more than the other.
    I appreciate the response. I'll take your advice to heart.

    Maybe, I just want to know if Christoph Waltz is coming back because he doesn't have any projects coming up it seems.

    A bigger role than expected, if cast, perhaps?

    In the meantime people, calm down. IT IS JUST A MOVIE! We're getting close to actual news.

    I’m not sure to be honest, although I would hope the casting will be colour blind, I don’t want them to fall in to the trap of casting diversely for a chance to appear inclusive. It should just be natural choice based on talent, rather than what boost we can get audience wise. I personally would’ve loved Lupita, she has great range, but unfortunately it’s not meant to be. Sonoya Mizuno will always get my vote.

    Yes the “great” David Arnold who hasn’t scored a movie in god knows how many years because nobody wants to work with him...

    That's a ludicrous comment. Arnold is very much respected in the movie/music industry. That's a fact!

    He may be respected. But he isn't really getting hired to do much.

    well.. also, to be fair - we don't know what he has or hasn't been offered.. who knows - maybe he has turned stuff down..

    he was the composer for the several episodes of SHERLOCK, he also has 2 mini series coming up here in 2019 that he is doing the composing for as well..

    but also, Bond was what he was most known for - it's not like he was John Barry, or John Williams where they could do almost anything they wanted.. his bread and butter was 007 with a small smattering of other big titles thrown in..... i would like to see him do more major motion picture stuff - but he seems to have made a good transition into TV ..... whether he was forced to go that route, or if it was his choice - we don't know....... but i've had small exchanges with him via Twitter - not only is he a great guy, but he absolutely loves Bond, and he's said that the door is always open for him to come back... the only reason he wasn't on for the last two, is because Mendes preferred working with the composer he had worked with for years - thats not an uncommon practice..

    I wonder if this April 1 date (+/- a couple of days) is based on rumours or they have insider information. Anyway, last time we learned about the exact date of the presser 6 days in advance and got official confirmation 2 days in advance.

    It seems our pain and suffering will end (or at least will temporarily cease) in fewer than 10 days!

    Ok, so they will be filming in Norway for about a week before heading back to Pinewood. Is this all the filming they will do in Norway or will they return there later? After all the speculation about mountains and fjords, it would be pretty anticlimactic if they only filmed at a lake for a week.

    Who says they're only filming in Norway for a week? Maybe the second unit have been shooting for a couple of weeks now. Who knows?
    I really do hope that when filming begins or we have the press conference, that some of our membership will calm down.
    I see no point or pleasure in being negative all the time.

    MI: Fallout filmed for close to a week (with a major tourist attraction closed even longer than a week) - and that production only got 6m kroner through the incentive scheme, compared to B25s record high 47m kroner. Either the Nittedal/Langvann sequence is more expensive to shoot than we think it is (which is probably unlikely given what we know so far), or Norway will feature in a later stage in the production as well.

    They might have started shooting already too. The Dagbladet video from before the weekend suggested as much – if the security guard's comment is correct. The quote was:
    "Has the James Bond shooting started?", we ask when we pull into the small road. "Yes", smiles the security guard cheerfully.

    What sources does this come from. Where did MI6 here this to confirm it as credible news ?

    Having it land on 1st of April is odd

    Apparently they have been in Italy too.

    So Sebastien Soudais is really Malek's stunt double. Great news. So he will be in the film Yes ! ! !

    Please don't answer @Risico007's question.

    @Risico007
    We have spoken about that at length yesterday. Can we please give the issue a rest for a few weeks/months? We are trying to steer this thread in a positive direction. Clearly, @PanchitoPistoles has explained his thoughts on Barbara Broccoli in the previous few pages. Please feel free to read them there.

    Thank you both.

    That Malek slip is going down in Bond history as one of the funniest. By his stuntman no less. Brilliant. And good news at that.

    And a bit of a lookalike as well. Well, as much as one can be, given Malek's particular looks.

    Too much of a coincidence. The rumours will b true. Plus, his hoodie is clearly a pun to MR ROBOT.

    He also wouldnt have removed those parts if not. Im so pleased the rumours are true. I kind of suspected it after hit reply on the talk show

    So, we can talk about the Norwegian shoot, I suppose, as in involving Malek doing some action. Maybe falling into the icy lake? It wouldn't be just a simple "entering house and making villain's speech" kind of scene, if it involves a stuntman, right?

    I'm aware this is unlikely and probably wishful thinking, but I would love a snowy mountain finale to a Bond film again soon. If I thought that a white Norway landscape was going to be the backdrop for the last half hour of Bond 25, well......I'd be one happy man.

    Indeed. Wouldn't be surprised if this guy does the stunt work in Norway, with Malek doing his bits at Pinewood Studios after finishing his Mr. Robot commitments.

    Edit: or…
    Maybe this guy plays Malek's character's brother – that Bond kills, and that this will be a reverse revenge flick, with the villain plotting a personal vendetta against Bond? :-D

    It's an interesting one. It definitely seems to rule out the young Madeleine Swann angle, and I refuse to believe it'll be a child of Bond, so I wonder how this will play out?
