I keep telling myself Spectre wasn’t that bad but I have t had the courage to rewatch it since 2015....

All I want honestly is a good film with a Fleming title preferably a short story title.. before people complain hey this is just what I want maybe you want something different that is fine too..

I still say Daniel Craig is the only actor who can pull off The Hildebrand Rarity as a title (in much the same way only Moore could pull off Octopussy)

    But we shall see

I could not care less if the title is from Ian Fleming or not and also don't understand why anyone would say all he wants is the gunbarrel at the beginning or in a certain way. All that is secondary to a good script, good director and good actors.

I would prefer a Fleming title and the gunbarrel has to be at the beginning. It's about tradition, class and building the excitement at the start of the film. Of course, a good script and story are required, but these elements should be included in such.

If the world were perfect, the word “Eclipse” would never appear in this thread again.

I wanted the film to be called 'Shatterhand.'

Exactly. And a bloody good title (who cares if its Fleming, but they can make it in the same mould).

Nah it's going to be "Elope" =))
So they could make the Prequel next, "Antelope" :-).

    + 1

I don´t think there´s a Bond film I especially like for its title. Although Octopussy is an amazing title. You only live twice, Diamonds are forever and From Russia with love are also fantastic titles. But basically I´m a fan of movies, not of titles.

I don´t even think I mind if they Play around with the gunbarrell. They anyhow Experiment constantly with the films themselves, so a constant gunbarrell would be Kind of pretentious.

Ok so I asked this developer guy where he got his information and he replied with this

Eclipsemovie.com has actually been owned for more than 20 years by a company called Versacorp, who also own domains like Eclipsechaser.com

    https://whois.com/whois/eclipsemovie.com

The company designs and manufactures astronomical observation equipment.

While it's not beyond the realms of possibility that in the future the studio could try and buy the domain from Versacorp if for any reason they wanted it, there's currently no indication that this is the case.

    Lizo.

    How about THE RED SNAPPER?

    Too much Hemingway ;)

Boy, this has been a slow week. Thought we would have something by now.

Well, some people here would surely fancy GARDEN OF DEATH. Or THE DISH OF TERROR?

So Craig is in London right now right?
I know we had photos of him on a plane, I think he’s got rehearsals, meetings, costume fittings etc. He is a producer for the film also so he is more involved.

If I was going to bet money on a press conference it’d be end of April, first week of May.

Didn’t the 007 twitter account announce it like a day or two before the conference? I just remember it always being short notice.

I’d start seeing if any of the MI6 gang is in London. Follow them and you’ll know.

Guess the conference will come later than I thought. I’m out of guesses at this point. Just going to sit back without expectations.

So beautiful. As much as the appeal of Norway as a winter location is off the charts, I'd be just as happy with Bond exploring it in the summer. Has a very "rolling mountains of YOLT" vibe to it.

I wouldn't discount the possibility just yet. Still much to be discovered in the next few months.

It's a stunning country. I had a ladyfriend from Bergen a few years ago that I met on my travels in Berlin. Had the absolute pleasure of travelling to her hometown for a few weeks a couple of Summers ago. It's one of those places that even the most majestic of photos can't describe.

    Extremely fitting for Bond.

Bond 25 is Ladyfriend from Bergen. ;)

FYI @echo : I didn’t write any of that. I think you attributed the quote to the wrong member.

    No presser this week?

My reaction: Fine, no problemo, I’m cool as a cucumber. :) Looking forward to the start of filming at Pinewood!

My reaction if I were not on thin ice:: [the biggest temper tantrum this thread has ever seen.]

I'm starting to think we won't hear anything this week if they are negotiating with Jamaican officials I doubt they would have time and feel like the cast is almost set but not enough for a press conference all I can say is we aren't far from it whenever it is maybe its next week

Every day I log into this site with the hopes I'll see the title of this thread updated with BOND 25's official title.

    Oh, well.

At least the movie has started filming.

I guarantee we won't see a press conference until May. Who knows, could be even later than that.

    Sigh.
Come in! You have to admit it’s a pretty boring word and would make an awful title.

Its a dreadful title, dull, boring, and not either Fleming or Fleming esq land after 5 years you would think they would have had a better one. Even if the plot purely revolves around a solar eclipse, its a dull title. Any chapter heading from any fleming novel would be better in my opion. Eclipse isnt bondian enough, is another films tirle and I would have thought Eon would have a list of title ideas after all these years that they could just pluck one from. But then I would have thought they would have had a few spare treatments and scripts over the years that they could blow the dust off and film if they got really stuck. If they don't they probably should. This title talk is the only thing bothering me about B25.

If there's no announcement this week, they must be waiting to cast the Bond girls.
Unless... they want to "frame" Léa as the leading lady.

"All The time in the world" would be a great title

Wel, I think SIGH is also a tad silly as a title. But with great openig titles and great theme song, it might work.

Shooting begins Friday. Expect set photos and possibly a press release around then. The conference will follow shortly after once Malek has a gap in his Mr Robot schedule.

The model to look at is the Quantum of Solace timeframe:

The film began production on 7 January 2008. We got out first look at Craig on set and press release came out confirming Olga Kurylenko, Mathieu Amalric and Gemma Arterton:

    https://www.mi6-hq.com/sections/articles/bond_22_prod_diary03.php3?id=01767

Then after shooting for over two weeks, Eon held a press conference where the cast were photographed together, set footage was released and the title unveiled:

We know filming has already begun in Norway and there is a very good chance that either filming or rehearsals are taking place as we speak. So this method makes the most sense. It may also be Cary Fukunaga's preferred way of working. At least this way he gets a few weeks in the can before unveiling the film to the world.

    Thoughts?
