    Anything from Baz?

Nothing yet. Lots of stage and musical news. No Bond - or even general film - news.

I truly didn’t think we’d still be without hardly any news at this point of the month.

Me neither. But it'll be sweet when it all happens!

That's actually a really interesting take @AgentM72. Given Swann's family and her own career, doing away with her in the traditional sense justs seems lazy, but something more unconvential for Bond as you suggest is far more interesting, and should hopefully give the actors something meatier to work with.

@AgentM72 -- very nice, my friend. Very. Nice. Whether this happens, or no, this was one of the best speculations I've read.

Baz was certainly correct in late 2016 when he said bond 25 was a long long way off

@AgentM72 I have to give it to ya -- I didn't think of that either. Would make a lot of sense. Good idea.

Thank you @peter! Maybe I've got a future in it. ;)

Daniel Craig, at home in NY, finally remembered that he was supposed to start shooting Bond25 in Pinewood last week...

The latest entry in the Production Diary on the first page of this thread was posted TWO WEEKS ago. It really does not seem like production is about to begin. Remember, second unit filming for the palio sequence was done about 5 months before the main unit filming of QOS started. We could be MONTHS away from the start of principal photography. No, I'm not saying the release date will be pushed back yet again. I'm saying don't expect a press conference anytime soon and certainly not before late May.

I thought we were expecting it at the end of this month? Didn’t someone on here message a woman from production in Norway on instagram and she said to expect it “later this month”? Or have we retconned that?

Daniel Craig isn’t in America right now.

He was photographed at the airport boarding a plane. He’s definitely in London for rehearsals/costume fitting etc.

I don’t think he officially starts filming until June... Expect something mid to late May.

We've had 2 separate sources claim the PC is coming by the end of the month. I'm not getting my hopes up, but let's see what happens over the next couple of weeks.

The cinematographer said they start in April, so they start in April.

They've already shot a bunch of it.

We know for a fact things are moving fast at Pinewood, and many posters here in-the-know have confirmed some key crew movements.

Let's. Not. Do. This. Every. Time.

If Daniel Craig is indeed in London then surely the PC is happening soon, otherwise he would fly back to the US and then have to fly all the way back over again.

That was before they moved the release date to April 2020. Now they can afford to start filming a bit later.

@Risico007 What panic? They will have plenty of time to finish the movie if they start filming in June.

Btw, the Caribbean hurricane season ends around early November, so it's safe to say filming in Jamaica will begin only after that. So if you consider that filming will take about 6 months and that it will not end by early November, it seems like a safe bet that filming will NOT begin before June.

Due to the defining silence about this film I don't even care anymore at this point. There are too many other great things happening in entertainment that has pushed James Bond (sadly) to the sidelines. If, as a hardcore fan, EON has managed to relegate my passions for a film franchise that has been a big part of my life for decades to such a state, imagine how limp general audiences are towards Bond these days.

How are audiences limp to Bond these days? CR was a big commercial hit, so was QOS, SF crossed 1 billion and became the UK's top grossing film, and SP made $800 odd million at the BO. That is not limp.

    It's a constantly evolving marketplace.

In the time since SP came out - we have seen nearly the entirety of a new Star Wars trilogy (amongst numerous spin-offs) which have captured internet conversation in a big way. We have seen the Marvel universe go from strength to strength. We have also seen the car crash of DC (which is too fascinating not to watch).

Big-franchise-film audiences have all but forgotten about Bond with so much other big shiny movies to watch.

Then you have the rise (and domination) of Netflix. There's a wealth of entertainment at my fingertips. Plus, everyone is talking about such-and-such show, so naturally you don't want to miss out.

Aside from this forum, no one is speaking about Bond 25. If people are talking about Bond it's only in relation to Craig's replacement.

Momentum for this film with audiences is close to nil. And to be honest, even I'm growing past caring.

    Agreed, @ColonelSun.

All of this will be moot as soon as the press event happens. There will be no shortage of "Bond is back" sweeping across the internet.

    Positive thoughts, people!

It was a troll. It was Gareth007.

Although, I thought marketto said it would be this month.

I don't know about general audiences, but I would be a lot more excited about Fukunaga coming onboard and shaking things up if a new actor had been cast as Bond. Seeing Craig drag himself in front of the camera for another round of superficial poses just seems ... meh. I'll still go (of course), but I'm not expecting a classic.

Sigh... almost every single tabloid is publishing an article everyday about bond25 either it is legitimate source or some nonsense about Bond's daughter being in film. How exactly do you know about it. One can't compare Sci-fi/ Superhero films with bond.

Meanwhile Daniel Craig is now longest serving bond.
