How do you know that person won't be Arnold? He has scored more Bond themes than any other composer over the past 20 odd years, he gets the Bond sound, and is most like John Barry. Why would the new director dismiss him just because it upsets you personally?
Not buying it. ;)
What if the girl being chased by the mask wearing villain in the Norway shoot turns out to be Madeline's child. Not with Bond - but with the scientist who gets kidnapped. So Bond has to rescue the scientist and Madeline's daughter from the clutches of the villain played by Malik. Just a thought.
Also, I think Bond will feel obligued to help Felix, since he gave sanctuary to Lucia in SPECTRE.
It's only a matter of time metoo/ feminism won't affect bond much. They can't undo what they did in SP so naturally it has to be a love story. I am sure bond being womanizer will continue with next bond.
As much as I like His score in CR & QOS , he is nowhere near Barry. Another thing is he scored in 5 films continuously but Barry came back even after new composers not because he did more but he kept his magic even other than bond films.
Yep, never goin to happen. Sassilive is just a local newspaper with insight on stuff happening in Matera, so regarding plot point they are clearly making up stuff. They suggested The Mater Spy as the title (LOL) plus Stone and Johnson as Bond girls... just saying...
He was invited to speak about his Bond scores amongst other things on radio today, and it's a fact that a lot of people ask him if he is doing the score.
Twitter is a way of reaching out to those people and answering their questions.
No. It's called fanservice. And you ain't it!
You do know that Counting Crows had their day, 15 years before Arnold was doing his CR score?
Arnold knows and respects the template made by Barry and is by far the best composer we had since him. But some people just love to hate or/and point their fingers at someone.
De Armas describes her character as “not a damsel in distress. She doesn’t fall for Bond because he’s handsome or because its an affair. It’s more than that.” And she also briefly mentions relating to the character and the way Phoebe has written her. I’m paraphrasing somewhat but go check them out!
So it's quite clear now.
Lashana Lynch plays Nomi, the MI6 agent.
Ana De Armas plays Paloma, the "accomplice" akin to Camille.
Always refreshing to hear your enthusiasm Mark, great interview, totally agree about the title, give us another moment they can reveal.
I think this is quite savvy on EON's part and apart from the likelihood of maybe other cast members not yet revealed and who is doing the title song, they'll have this to still spring on the world.
Us fans can be quite selfish and entitled at times, we should just sit back and enjoy the ride.
Interesting. I wonder what Paloma's relevance to the plot is. Is she connected to Rami's villain directly? Possibly the kidnapped scientist? She could be someone who tags along while Felix approaches Bond, and has a role akin to say.....Domino in Thunderball?
All very exciting.
I think many are probably thinking the same thing. It seems likely that she's going to be playing a British agent and I doubt there's going to be a romantic relationship - the age gap kind of precludes it anyway. So I think this is going to be about a younger agent rubbing up against a seasoned pro and some steep learning for the rooky. She seems quite confident and assertive - hopefully she successfully mixes that with some more easy charm on screen.

None of them mention LTK??! What a travesty!
Blasphemy.
Also, if waltz does return in an extended cameo I think he'll come back knowing he's got something to prove and CF will give him the direction Mendes couldn't.
Nice to see some well deserved love for Casino Royale
Exactly my thoughts too. The resemblance is remarkable.

Dear lord, the stunning Lea in a fresh article on her and the Bond-role. She's beautiful.

Your comments about De Armas are inaccurate. She didn't take part in the photoshoot because she wasn't available. Nor was Billy Magnussen, his photo is taken from this shoot:
We knew about his casting weeks ago!
By all means, De Armas has been cast in this role for a while - however, Eon did a top job of keeping it top secret.
Who is the lead Bond girl though?!?!?
Not a fan. At all.
Why not?
Just don't find her attractive. I'm sure she's a decent actress though. Also, that blue outfit she had on was hideous IMO.
