    Not a fan. At all.

    Why not?

Just don't find her attractive. I'm sure she's a decent actress though. Also, that blue outfit she had on was hideous IMO.
What about Craig's shoes , this won't be the final look though :P . She can be great but we will see how things go

Fukunaga’s favorite Bond film is Casino Royale. Joy to the World. Also like Rami’s classic taste:

None of them mention LTK??! What a travesty!

It still in my top 10 & Tim being my favorite of all but to be fair LTK was neither critical nor box office success so I can understand why no one mentioned it.

Something tells me they'll go with the Legend of Zorro approach:
    -Bond returns to help Felix.
    -Madeleine, furious, leaves.
-Bond beds Paloma and (maybe) Nomi.
-When the dust is settled, he goes back with Madeleine who accepts him as he is.

It's now confirmed that Lashana Lynch will play Nomi - she posted the news on Instagram.

Is there something I'm missing with Lashana Lynch? Her casting is a real headscratchier for me....

I'll confess I've only seen her in interviews and she seems charming. But is she a seriously talented actress? Because she only has a few credits but somehow got the attention of Marvel and Bond. So she must have something. Right?

This was clearly the role they sought Lupita Nyong'o for.....but something about Lynch seems a little off.

I'm fairly confident she's a capable actress @Pierce2Daniel. I might come off as shallow, but what I'm skeptical about is her look. Maybe it is because of her clothes (can't get over unflattering they are), but she comes off as rather plain and unsexy as a Bond girl. I thought the presenter looked hotter and more glamorous than her!

I think many are probably thinking the same thing. It seems likely that she's going to be playing a British agent and I doubt there's going to be a romantic relationship - the age gap kind of precludes it anyway. So I think this is going to be about a younger agent rubbing up against a seasoned pro and some steep learning for the rooky. She seems quite confident and assertive - hopefully she successfully mixes that with some more easy charm on screen.
I kinda hope Bond beds at least two Bond girls. And I've been hoping for a black Bond girl that has proper development and screen time. We haven't been lucky with them: a ditz, a sexually neutral muscle woman, a Bond copy... There was Eve, but becoming Moneypenny she quickly went into the platonic territory.

My bet/wish regarding Madeleine is that she leaves him when Leiter comes and Bond accepts the job. Then he is free as a bird.

Too early to tell for certain who the main one is I think.

Since production is going to be getting into full gear, I hope now we'll be getting more consistent news and tidbits about the movie.

I honestly think they're gonna keep with Madeleine as the 'main' Bond girl, at most there may be something with Paloma but doubtful with Nomi, given her character as a fellow MI6 agent (though she does indeed appear to be the female lead - so I guess the main Bond girl in that sense). I'd like to think they follow through with Bond committing to someone and don't kill Swann off early

Lynch is definitely the “female lead”, her role has been described as a “key role” after all. But I don’t see Bond having a love affair with her. Not gonna happen. She’s probably goin to be a very tough and masculine, perhaps, spy agent.

Madeleine will be the main Bond girl. I will be shocked if Bond is seduced by another girl in the film.

Did you all forget Bond left his job for her??

I'd prefer that. Keeping her as the main Bond girl would lend weight to her role as Bond's way out of the Vesper tunnel.

She does look masculine a bit. I'd rather have a "full" Bond girl, whom Bond beds. I just have difficulties imagining her as one.

I don't know. No disrespect to Lynch who's no doubt talented in the acting department, I just don't really see her as a Bond girl type in the looks department. Lupita is a better candidate for that, IMO.

Also, that haircut. It might bring upon some unfavorable Jinx comparisons...

Yes, I think they should at least somewhat stick to this. Bond could, of course, sleep with someone as part of his cover should the plot dictate that he be undercover at any stage. However, I don't think they'd bring Madeleine back to piss all over her. I especially don't think that Fukanaga would do that. His female characters are always quite strongly written, and I think he'll build on most of the few interesting aspects of Madeleine from SP.

I might have been half asleep but Im sure when he was asked who was returning CJF said "officially returning" before listing off the returning cast members. So im pretty sure Waltz is coming back in some form.

I don’t think there will be any action in Jamaica. Unless he returns there at the end and we get another skyfall type action set piece.

The latest MaWIB trailer inspires me to say there will be four female leads in this one, with Bond throwing in the occasional cue.

I actually just Google imaged her and I am surprised as she can look very beautiful. I really think it's that darn haircut and those darn clothes! It's like trying to convince someone that Connery was the greatest Bond by showing him pictures of Zardoz.

They said a extensive portion of the film will take place in Jamaica
  • At least 1/3 of the film should take place in Jamaica. It's a beautiful locale! I can already see the sweeping shot of the beach where they filmed Dr. No.

David Dencik "thinks" he'll be in action scenes in Jamaica:

    - I don't really know what I'm supposed to do, but I think there are some action scenes.

    - They don't tell me that much. It's like working for MI6 for real, everything is secret.

Sadly, I think you're right. It's looking very much like another rerun of Jinx, but this time Bond's female counterpart is working for our own MI6 and not the CIA and is less glamorous to boot.

@ggl007 How do you know Armas wasn't the first choice for her role? She's arguably the best casting for a Bond girl since Berenice Marlohe.

I agree and I'm thrilled with Ana, but from what I've heard, in March they still hadn't the Bond girl. And I think it's quite obvious that Lashana will do the Lupita Nyong'o rumored role.

Last hour incorporations. Not saying this is a bad thing, let's remember Eva Green.

There’s some pretty hot black actresses and they chose her? If Bond ends up with her I will walk out of the theater. She’s not even remotely attractive. He leaves the service for Madeline. Ana is a total bombshell! That girl looks like a guy. Don’t screw this up EON!!
