Maxwell was 40 odd by 69? Well I'll be damned.
I'll say. If I had to guess I would have said she was in her early to mid thirties in that one.
True, but I'd argue in that case it was important to keep Moneypenny around for continuity, to show it was the "same old James". I think the new Q and Moneypenny are specifically tied to Daniel Craig's Bond, somehow it would be odd to suddenly see 35 year old Ben Whishaw go from 'young upstart Q' to Bond's senior
Personally, I think Whishaw as Q looks young enough that they could hire someone in their early-to-mid thirties and get away with it not appearing as if Q is much older.
Yes, I felt the same way after my two theater viewings. By contrast, I loved SF and couldn't wait to watch the Blu-ray. This time around, I was kind of hoping to hear some news about Craig's possible departure before watching SP again. I wonder if the knowledge that it is indeed Craig's last film will change my perception of it.
A Moneypenny I'd like to...?
Or, is it possible, BB was dealing with The Silent Storm and didn't have time to read the Logan drafts of Bond 24 until spring 2014?
a response:
Is this statement meant as a defence? Might as well exonerate the Captain of the Titanic for ploughing on at full speed through an ice field because 'he didnt have time' if he wanted to break the Blue Riband record.//
No, it was not meant as a defense.
Why do people keep saying this? He's still Bond. That's really the only fact we have at this point.
But he doesn't seem willing to do another.
So why hasn't he quit yet?
I think it's important for all to remember that EoN control the legitimacy of pivotal Bond news and if Craig has quite or if he hasn't, only EoN will announce it much to the frustration of many...when THEY are ready to do so.
Which basically means he hasn't quit yet.
It's official once it's announced and only then. He may have told them he's done and is just playing along as the good soldier he is, until they are ready to roll out his successor and make announcements, whenever that may be. It doesn't hurt him to still be James Bond, even if for self-marketing purposes, and it doesn't hurt them either.
Until it is official he hasn't quit, regardless of whether he's made up his mind or not.
It's taken 311 pages for us to come to the conclusion that he hasn't quit until it's officially announced?
(Mind you 299 of those pages are @Mendes knocking one out over Turner)
He hasn't officially quit yet, but he isn't officially confirmed for Bond 25 either, otherwise EON would put to bed all the rumours about possible replacements. So the only thing for certain is Craig is still the incumbent James Bond, but we have no official confirmation on whether or not he will do Bond 25, or even when the film is coming. We could go on like this for another year, if not more, before we learn anything.
Yes, apparently.
I wonder how many posts in this thread have said that very same thing.
Well they went with a male model with no acting experience in 1968/69.
I remember from a MGW interview that Craig has an option for a fifth.
Well they went with a male model with no acting experience in 1968/69.
So we're back to square one then, because even if Craig is the incumbent 007 until he resigns, he has no contractual obligation to make a 5th unless he officially confirms his involvement.
So, until Eon or MGM makes an announcement, we better rest our case and leave things as they are. More than half the thread is full of insults.
