Ask Graham Rye, he knows all.

    Does he?
He has been a reliable source, not so sure his relationship with EON is as strong as it once was.

I hope we get something come October 7th. Sadly, I think it will be more waiting, lots of deciphering, and many, many more pages of similar content.

@Benny I was being slightly sarcastic. A while back he claimed he had a reliable source that Craig told everyone on the set of Spectre that it was his last film and that he has definitely left the role. Contradicting what he'd already put on Twitter that until official word was made Daniel Craig is still Bond. He was pretty adamant about it, maybe he is right.

As depressing as this might sound, I'm watching Casino Royale right now thinking that it may very well be the last time while Craig is still officially Bond.

So you think 'Bond Day', a day to annually celebrate Bond, is reserved for announcing the departure of the current Bond? Or that a pre-publicised event called 'Beyond Bond' is? Don't see too much logic to either if I'm honest.
Not at all. If Dan confirms his return on October 7th, I think it's possible to get an announcement on the 5th. If he confirms his departure, I don't expect an announcement at all.

It will be great if Daniel Craig does confirm his departure or his return to the role on October 7th. It's almost a year since SPECTRE came out (Oct 26th) so I reckon he's had enough time to think it over. If he does say "I'm not coming back, 100 percent finished with the role" then EON/the studio/and the fans can go into 2017 with a clean slate. Fans will know a new actor will be cast and the producers/writers can mould the script with a new actor in mind. Bond 25 - with new actor - is likely to be a soft reboot, perhaps.

This just in from the James Bond Newsletter :

Well, there is still no official work regarding progress, casting, directors or anything else at all. Unofficially there is a rumour that Guy Ritchie is in talks to helm the next Bond movie. While I refrain from reporting every single rumour that makes the mainstream media, this one does seem like it might have an element of truth.

Sure that's not from 6-12 months ago? I think nothing new is reported there.

Rumors of Ritchie's involvement have resurfaced in the past month.

I doubt Guy Ritchie will ever direct a Bond film.

Like Nolan, his standards doesn't seem to fit Eon's demands.

Wishful thinking on my part, too. But, sadly, I don't think that's in the cards.

I remember back when Mendes backed out of B24 rumors had Guy Ritchie in talks or as the frontrunner. I thought that was horrible and crossed fingers for Mendes to return.

Now I'm a bit more open to see what we get and dead set against Mendes ever back at the helm. I'm not really a fan of Ritchie's style but seems like the level of target EoN would aim for. Mendes was a higher target albeit that faltered in the end recruited by Craig not Eon at first if I understand correctly

I dont understand why Eon has to pick such weird directing choices when there are amazing directors they could choose from.

I think Craig will emerge on October 7, see his shadow and predict three more weeks of radio silence. In fact, I doubt we'll hear anything of substance until it's time to start playing "Do You Know How Christmas Trees Are Made."

I mentioned Jaume Colle-Serra, who directed a few Liam Neeson action films (Non Stop, Unknown, Run All Night, The Commuter). The other day I rewatched the Denzel Washington film 'Safe House', and whoever directed that could do a splendid job on a Bond film. The action scenes there were fantastic, especially the fist fight between Ryan Reynolds and Joel Kinnamen.

There was a similar case last year in which Monica Bellucci was asked if Idris Elba should succeed Craig. Her brilliant response?

    "Who's that?"

    God bless Monica Bellucci.
